I use water slip decals. You can get ink jet or laser, depending on what type of printer you have. You have to use injet in an inkjet printer, and laser in a laser printer... I use my photo editing program to set up my printout page- I can put several on a page to not waste the paper. I always print a test sheet (in draft mode on plain paper) to make sure they are the right size. I use an inkjet printer, so after I print my decals and let them dry for a while, I spray them with clear Krylon - or any clear spray paint). I do a couple light coats. Let this dry really well also. Then I cut out the image close to the edges and place in warm water. I wipe the candle down first with some rubbing alcohol. Then I slip the decal onto the candle. I then gently smooth out any bubbles and pat dry. After completely dry - I spray the candle with a very light coat of clear spray again. I don't burn the actual candle - I drill out the center of a 4-wick candle and add a votive cup and candle. You can add a battery tea light for those who don't wish to burn candles in their houses. The lid fits nicely but don't think it'll hold if I put anything in it. As a salad spinner, it's possible! LOL @summergardener, yea, that would hurt! how funny! As I mentioned earlier about putting in the apples, my husband gave me the look and said we're not fruit people which we don't eat fruits. ha! hm! Now I might go with eggs but I kinda like maybe use it as a candleholder? Leaving the lid up that way the black smoke wouldn't mark on the bottom of the lid. I've included the picture below. Good point about the height! Sounds pretty, but that's a lot of work, not to mention the expense of the pots and paint. I came up with an idea, thanks to my newspaper. Our local family owned garden center is having a sale today on white pine roping - 25' for $8. They also have mini poinsettias for $4 each. I will cut 3' strips of the roping into a circle and put the poinsettias inside the ring. I'll add red glass ornaments that I found in my Christmas stash of this years unwanted, and fill in with magnolia, pinecones (I have some small unscented) and berry bunches (which I will be stealing from my Christmas tree). I can reuse the poinsettias for my guest table and give as departure gifts. The remainder of the white pine garland can be used as a swag for my dining room widow, where I plan to hang fresh wreaths closer to Christmas.

Thank you!! I wish I could afford Yankee candles, Even if they are half price!! They're worth it though, they smell so good and last so long. Besides tea lights those big bulky candles in glass jars (Yankee and the candles that wish they were Yankee!!) Are the only ones I buy and I do have a bunch of them but theyre all scented and it can get overwhelming burning several in each room. I inherited boxes upon boxes of the tall skinny old school candles so I don't want to waste the expensive ones if I can burn these safely. I think I found a way to do just that!! Fill a bowl, jar, whatever with salt or sand and stick the candle down in there. So far so good. Sturdy and it won't drip all over the table, just the sand or salt around it!
