Originally I had two nice La-Z-Boy swivel/rock smaller chairs, but they quit making them. These were destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. Since then, I found that JCP sold them online. Lookalikes, that is, but with really awful choices in the fabric. I again bought a pair of the small scale swivel rockers plus an ottoman. They are nice, but not by any means quality stuff. If it was not mandatory that the scale be small I would have passed them up and kept looking. This chair looks fine. Even the fabric is much better than the original. Because it looks like it has been recovered. IMHO, the scale is good and the shape is nice. If it fits your space, go for it. It is VERY hard to find this diminuative size chair new. And the swivel and rocking feature are very comfortable.

It's a classically-referenced table and a modern-referenced chair. I think it could possibly work, but it's not screaming out to me as a perfect pairing. As a pairing, it gives me sort of a hip coastal vibe. Is that what you're going for? Also, whites are hard to match. Are you comfortable the whites will match in this case?

I strongly endorse johnliu's suggestion: Make sure you have worked out solutions to your space challenges and have a firm layout before buying any cabinets. Beyond that, if you are wanting to paint cabinets anyway, you may as well look for good quality and well-preserved but non-new cabinets in a style you like. The money you save can go a long way toward tailoring the recycled cabinets to your space. * * * My experience is a frugal model for this approach. Having undertaken complete renovation of 1923 foursquare, I had ample time to scour my local craigslist (and also greendemolitions.com) for cabinets that met my criteria: 42" uppers, at least some of them glazed; a not overly ornate style; a large enough size selection that I would be likely to be able to make them fit in the layout I envisioned. After months of checking weekly, I found a set of pickled maple from the 80s that were in good shape, storing them in the garage until the kitchen was ready to be done. When the kitchen was ready (after removing the wall between the kitchen and the DR), I played with how the cabinets and the appliances might be configured. When we found a layout that would work, we installed everything, painted what needed to be painted, and gave away the unused cabinets. Once the everything was in place, my contractor made it fit by constructing a narrow place for cookie sheets and trays among the lower cabinets and a small open shelf to make a top run of cabinets match the length of a run of lower cabinets plus the dishwasher. The cabinets cost $700, plus $200 to have moved. I spent a lot more than that making them work in the kitchen, but I am pretty happy with the result, the price was right, and my mania to re-use stuff was indulged. Unless you want to buy cabinets, have them delivered, and then have to list them on craigslist yourself, however, take your time and get at least some of your ducks in a row. Best of luck.
