Posting pictures question

I have finally taken some pics of my creations and want to post them but I can't find any info on how to do that! How do I do it? I just got some great new molds from the Soap Goat and thought I'd share my soaps with ya'all!

I upload mine from my computer to the web page AOL provides me with. THen I just type the address into the spot below the posting form that says "optional link URL". So it would look something like this: http://members.aol.com/username/picturename.jpg

Don't know if that helps any or not...

Oh--Can't wait to see your photos!! I post mine over at the Craft & Decorations Gallery. Then I pull up the photo and copy the URL to the photo and paste that in the optional link box when I post my message over here. It seems like a lot of work, but after you do it once or twice - it's not that bad. There are instructions for uploading at the bottom of the page, where you enter your message. You also need to have your photo's file size under 61k, but you can do that by resizing in a photo editing program. If you go Hazel's route, you can have the photo any size.

On this forum as on many others, frequent posters do post pictures and questions and that is enjoyed by other frequent posters. If you do not enjoy this, you may not enjoy this forum. kay

Yes I have been a member of photobucket for some time now. I tried to post the pictures without using Photobucket but it kept sayng my photos were to big so, I went to photobucket and resized them and now they are to small. I really, really appreciate your help jim and serenasyh and will give it a try. Jim the reason why I think you could not find the old thread is becuase it was 4 to 5 years ago. I was going to try and do a search on it to see if anyone else had asked this question but the search option was down. Thanks all I will give it a try, Carrie

See the "Read Me" thread that I've linked below. Scroll down to the "Posting Pictures" topic and click on the link. Note: Your picture must be loaded to a site somewhere on the internet; you cannot post it from your computer. Free photohosting sites like Photobucket and Flickr are probably your best bet b/c they give you more options than other, less extensive sites. Here is a link that might be useful: New To Kitchens?
