Posting pictures question

I have finally taken some pics of my creations and want to post them but I can't find any info on how to do that! How do I do it? I just got some great new molds from the Soap Goat and thought I'd share my soaps with ya'all!

I upload mine from my computer to the web page AOL provides me with. THen I just type the address into the spot below the posting form that says "optional link URL". So it would look something like this: http://members.aol.com/username/picturename.jpg

Don't know if that helps any or not...

Oh--Can't wait to see your photos!! I post mine over at the Craft & Decorations Gallery. Then I pull up the photo and copy the URL to the photo and paste that in the optional link box when I post my message over here. It seems like a lot of work, but after you do it once or twice - it's not that bad. There are instructions for uploading at the bottom of the page, where you enter your message. You also need to have your photo's file size under 61k, but you can do that by resizing in a photo editing program. If you go Hazel's route, you can have the photo any size.

Yes I have been a member of photobucket for some time now. I tried to post the pictures without using Photobucket but it kept sayng my photos were to big so, I went to photobucket and resized them and now they are to small. I really, really appreciate your help jim and serenasyh and will give it a try. Jim the reason why I think you could not find the old thread is becuase it was 4 to 5 years ago. I was going to try and do a search on it to see if anyone else had asked this question but the search option was down. Thanks all I will give it a try, Carrie

It's real simple. First Up - load the photo to photobucket. Then go to your album and all I do is hold my mouse over the photo, below the photo a window pops up look for (HTML CODE) listed if you left click the HTML CODE it will copy into the mouse, once that is done come back here and simply right click and paste that code into the text, reply box. you will see only see the code at that time, once you select preview you should see the photo of your selection.

Well, first off you need to be able to put your pictures on the world wide web. You can post them on one of the photo hosting sites, or if you have one, your own web site. If you have only a picture or two, you can upload them to the GardenWeb Gallery. Once you have pictures on the web, you can then copy the link that appears in the address box and paste it into the "Optional Link URL:" that will show up on the second page of the form that you use to start a new thread. If you are on a photo hosting site, you have to do something to make the pictures public, so we can see them without logging in. If you want to embed your link in the text, you can follow the directions linked below. Good luck, we are looking forward to seeing your pictures. Fantastic, Iowagirl! I am so impressed that you and Maire have come up with these links. The Gilberts were in the US before 1890 (date of advertisement I think), but apparently they had a mill, so they could be part of the John A. Gilbert family in England. This is so helpful, and I look forward to sharing it with my friends. I think I'll post the pictures and the flyer over on Antiques Forum to see if I can pick up any further info. Thank you!
