Wow -- it's really late in California for bare roots. That's usually a January February type of thing. I hope you live somewhere that it's cool. But, no, I would not "unplant" them just to soak them. At this point you are better off just mounding the canes with something that holds some water and will keep the humidity high until the leaves start to grow. Take a cardboard box that is big enough to go around all the canes, knock the bottom out of the box, put it over the rose so it forms a little fence around the plant and then put mulch in the box to within an inch or two of the tops of the canes. I like using bark mulch for this purpose. When the leaves start to show in a couple of weeks, remove the box and spread the mulch out. Another way to keep the humidity up (easier, but slightly more dangerous) is to put a white plastic grocery sack over the canes and weight it down on the edges so it doesn't blow away. This method is more dangerous, because it's also easy to cook the plants this way. They need to be cool and this can turn into an oven if the plants are in the sun. Misting them constantly also could work -- put a spray bottle near the plant and make a point to go by it and give it a good squirt down as often as you can. Good luck Kathy

What color is the wainscotting and the paneling? If it's white/cream then I could see the bathroom being just fine with the PO. You are right, there is not much difference in LRV (PO is 35 vs. 41 for DB.) A couple of suggestions: 1) find a floor lamp and extension cord and drag the lamp into the bathroom to check out the color to see if you do like it. 2) If it turns out to be too dark for you, have wide stripes painted in a lighter version of the PO. Use a glossy sheen and the lighter color will really pop out. Another bonus of staying with the PO is that you will have one fewer color/can you have to store for touch-ups :) Good luck!

I like the 2153 -50- desert tan. I think that family of golds looks good with your color. JMO I can't envision part two, couldyou post a pic?

There are pros & cons for each type of reveal: Positive--where the sink shows/granite is cut slightly larger than sink Pros: easier to clean b/c you can see the gunk and can easily wipe it off (it only gets nasty if you leave it there) Cons: silicone (caulk?) is visible, but if they use clear you won't see it when it dries Negative--where the granite overhangs the sink Pros: You cannot see the gunk buildup or silicone Cons: -- You cannot see the gunk to clean it. -- Dirty water/food can splash up & under where you cannot see to clean it. It's difficult to see underneath w/o leaning way over & into the sink. -- Dishes have been known to break b/c when you lift them out near the edge of the sink they dish hits the stone counter & can break (or, if the dish wins, the counter could chip...but I'm not sure how likely that is). Flush--where the granite & sink are the same Pros: -- easier to clean b/c you can see the gunk -- no platform over or under for the gunk to collect Cons: -- more difficult to do perfectly -- silicone is visible, but if they use clear you won't see it when it dries You will find proponents of all three types of reveals here...but in the end it's what works best for you. Good luck tomorrow!
