Marcia, There is a QAYG method that machine stitches the final seams using a sashing method. The final stitches show as top-stitching on the front of the quilt. I could find you a link if it's something you'd want to see. I personally don't like the end look and prefer to 'hide' the stitching on the back. Of course, I don't like hand stitching which is why I never QAYG in that method! lol There are alot of methods to choose from for sure...

Both are very nice but I really like the land scape one! I have a pictures of some Wild Horses that a friend took the other day in the Red desert - I would love to make him a throw like yours. Marie
