Michael's Coupon

What is everyone planning on getting with the 50% off Michaels's coupon? I think I may go get the Coluzzle starter set. I hear everyone raving about it, guess I'll find out what its all about! Our Michael's also had the large square and oval puzzle coluzzle's on Clearance for 8.25.

Kris, that's exactly what I did. I have heard so much about the Coluzzles and have been resisting, but I just couldn't take it any longer and caved! I bought the starter set yesterday for 1/2 off and got another coupon from my neighbor and am going back today to get the idea book half off! I feel so weak, I completely caved! :)

Everybody's Michael's is probably different, but at the one I shop at, all you have to do is tell them you forgot your coupon. You get 50% (or 40% whatever the coupon is) off. You can go out the door come back in and go to another checker and get another 50% off. :o)

Have to share fun, easy, fast gifty scarf pattern!

I'm making scarves for christmas etc. I'm using lion brand Homespun yarn (nice and soft). One skein is enough I'm using one color. I'm simply knit stitch the entire thing on large (size 11?) needles to make "holy" webbed type scarf. At the end I've attached long fringe with beads (I've been using glass beads..... like cracked glass) in corresponding colors. I've made a couple and given away and so far they are a hit.

I use Gingher for cutting fabrics, the small Fiskars snips for thread cutting and for cutting out tiny things for fusing, Henckle's for household and I have a cheap pair of scissors for wire or things like that. I use tiny Henckle's and Gingher's for embroidery and hand work. I have some black handle Gingher's I use for cardboard and paper in the craft room. I have a Gingher stone that I use for sharpening those, the others have never needed it. I am drowning in scissors, after we cleaned out MIL's house, Woody took all her scissors and dispensed them about the house. It's almost comical how many we have. That's a great tip, though, Bonnie, thanks. I'll try it on my wire scissors!

I work at Michaels' and now the corporate office wants us to save all the coupons used and turn them in to be counted with the cash drawer. This will be true for all coupons issued in future advertisements. We need the coupon to actually scan the bar codes on them also. We used to be able to enter discounts manually, bu now we need an explanation as to why we did that, and it has to be for something like it is a damaged item.
