Nancy - you are an expert - what do you think - if we can take a healthy looking leaf, submerge into a strong rubbing alcohol solution, keep it there for couple minutes - and the put it for babies - would you think the mites or their eggs survive? Scu - do not be sad, treat it as a valuable lesson. Only bring healthy strong great blooming plants to your house. Clearance - is not something to jump on if we are talking about living things. The fact that you ordering something from Internet - doesn't protect you from all kind of "passengers". It is a constant battle. If you start with Lowes plants - but the ones that got delivered yesterday - you probably would be happy. The longer they stay in the nursery department of the store - the more chances they accumulate the bugs. In your case - very possibly the plants were healthy - but they were sitting for a month near cyclamens, went from getting very dry to waterlogged many times, their resistance is down to nothing, the cyclamen mites moved in and took over. Next logical step would be Dumpster - but the store put the Clearance sign on it - and you got suckered. been there done that too. Irina

Genius? Moi? lol...nah..I'm just a baking junkie..with less drive then desire..I read alot.. and knew they existed.. I haven't seen any in my "market" area..or I'd be all over them myself..because it's so hard for me to decorate with a pastry bag..Those 12 cupcakes I did the other day..killed my hand!! I was so happy it was only 12!!!!! Last time I had alot of cupcakes to pipe..I had the boys take turns...LOL

OH! THANK YOU! I am so loving ALL your ideas and suggestions, and believe me, I am seriously considering each and every one of them! OK... so I cut out some sheets of paper the sizes of the pictures we have been considering. The 4 pieces of paper on the long wall represent the four 13.5" Sturbridge ("4 Seasons") prints. I think they fill the wall nicely! The 2 pieces of paper above the toilet represent the two 8" x 10" Warren Kible prints (the cat and the pig). (Boo seems to approve!!!) THEN, I'll change out the toilet seat (probably a plain white one... or maybe black???), and maybe replace the magazine holder with something like this... ... and call it *DONE*!!! So, what do you guys think?! And remember, you can be BRUTALLY honest!!! Really! ;o)

AnnieDeighnaugh your right, picking a color online is hard, but serendipity looks beautiful, as do the others. Next I'll buy some boards and start painting them, trying to figure it out. If I do it myself I may try using a stencil, with colors that are very close, or may look into someone doing a foe paint. I'm looking forward to getting the green off the walls.
