Oh no the sparkle is definitely very subtle. In the 9x13 sample I have there are only a few of those sparkly flecks so its not very noticeable really unless the light hits it right. It’s not at all like those other “sparkle” quartzes. I had my heart set on it was so sad when I discovered it’s more off-white 😢 the Stonemark I assume is the same as the MSI Perla White (I feel like stonemark and msi must be the same company?) and I considered that too but up close it was just too cloudy looking, imo.

"American's really over expose this idea of "right to know"." I don't think Americans (no apostrophe) generally do what is suggested. This is a specific instance, concerning a relative, telling what's thought to be a tall tale. In a pattern of lies this person tells. Trying to catch the liar in a lie he can't talk his way out of. If I were in this situation, I'd let it drop. For me, it's disgusting how people can lie about anything at all, there's nothing special about military service. I have no time in my life for liars and I jettison them as fast as possible. Even some truth tellers try to gain advantage and exploit the notion that there's something noble about being a veteran, having been in the military, how that shaped and defines their entire life. Sorry, no. If that's the case for someone, there must not be much else that person did in their life that was worthwhile. For me (also a veteran and so what?), if that's the drum people want to beat regularly as some do, fine. It's a reason to feel sorry for them, not a basis to venerate them for. Most veterans I know see their service years, whether voluntarily or otherwise, as just an aspect of their youth along with many others. Not a defining experience by any means other than the unfortunates who because of wounds or PTSD, had their lives changed. They're a small minority.

A flip lock might m not be allowed in the building. Management or emergency personnel need to be able to get in. A chain would work and be accessible from outside (install it vertically), but still they might not allow installation. We put child covers on doors at my mom's, but in an independent living they may have levers instead of knobs. A bell on the door should help. Like a strip of jingle bells. But, they have to be loud enough to wake her husband. And not removable by her.

I should have specified asking if people could also share the name they used so I can get an idea. Some posters could be nicer about it. In any case, just trying to get an idea, not an EXACT picture here, as I understand even kitchen lighting, natural light, and camera will play a part in the space.
