Questions for those signed up for the SWAP

We had 32 people sign up for this swap! We get bigger every month!! And I think 5 were from Canada. So this is my question and then everyone will know. I know mailing is different for Canada, are we supposed to label the swap package as a gift? Does that save you gals a tax? And does anyone know if the mailing time is much different? It must take some time to "cross the border". Anything else we would need to do? I think it'll be fun to see what different things are up there, everyone seems to have such a variety even from state to state. Thanks gals :-)

P.S. If anyone has any "special" requests, e-mail me. A particular person, someone has asked to swap me to set them up with other Canadians, etc. I do switch everyones partners from swap to swap so we'll all have someone new. Let me know, I've got my cards all set for pairings!!!!

my only special request is i want some diamond dust paper *pout* but i dont care who i get paired with and i dont mind mailing to canada either. i have really enjoyed all the swaps and love seeing the new goodies i get each time i havent been disappointed yet!!!

Ok Mariann, Since you put the presure on and you said Michelle would be posting partners on Sept 1 I guess I better go ahead on jump on the wagon too. I'm IN, I'M IN....jot me name down lady. HEHE. As long as it is for mixed cuttings and not just outside stuff. I have some, NOT many but some houseplants I can take a few cuttings from and a few things outside. I would just like to paired with someone who would like to receive housplants too, not just stuff that goes outside. I am NOT that great at rooting, unless it is easy to root...BUT I am game to try anything as I have a propogation station set-up from another thread I am ready to try out, so anything I get I can try an see how well my box works ;)! Peggy and Lisa, I just re-sent the information to you by e-mail and through GardenWeb. I have no idea why the first mailing didn't reach you. Please let me know when you receive it. If you can mail Tuesday or Wednesday it will be fine. I have surprised myself by working with so many of the arrivals up to this point that I'm hoping I am a little of ahead of where I supposed my schedule might be now. I'm sorry people are having trouble getting the message. Please check your spam folder in case it might be there. I have not gotten the e-mail or GardenWeb information from either of you that you hadn't received my address and the rest of the information so it's not being kind to us. Meanwhile, what great seeds everyone is sending! Many of you have made it very easy for me to distribute the seeds by sending a list or otherwise labeling themes. Thanks so much. Wow! I got my seeds! It took a little detective work to figure out what swap this package belonged to, but once the fear of having lost my mind were over and i started pulling out my seed packets and recording them, the pleasure stretched out to 181 packets of a great variety of seeds, thanks to all of you, my new GGF(great and generous friends). you guys are de bom! The assortment is awsome considering that there was no want list matchups at all. Shipping to Canada doesn't take much longer, and for any Cdns shipping to US, I have found that if you mail on Thursday or Friday it is usually there by the following Tuesday. I'm not sure why, but it has always worked that way for me.

When mailing across the border, you mark the pkg as a gift on the customs form and put the value at $10....That's it.
