Wish I could help, I used to use a melnore 3060 aqua timer, and a hose, with some minor adjustments it worked alright.It runs on batteries. If you do a search on misting systems, I think they have some cheap, effective ways to do it listed here. I switched to a mist-a-matic last fall, more expensive, but far better results. I know you can build a system for a lot cheaper than I did! I just love the fact mine hooks up to reclaimed water. It works fine, I was worried about salt etc. build up, but most everything has been fine, and I am not using drinkable water. Andrew

Dear Crys, I am not sure about spraying the mist directly on the photos, I would be afraid to do that. As for the other items, you can get an acid testing pen that will tell you if the item is indeed acidic or not and needs to be sprayed. If it is then I would spray it on both sides if it was a REALLY important item like a wedding license, or birth cert. but otherwise I probably would only spray one side, unless it was actually touching one of my photos, since the paper should buffer the item on the other side... I am not sure what the directions on the can say, so it might be best to check that out too. Penny

I have used Archival Mist occassionally. I sprayed both back and front. I did not notice any color changes (positive or negative). I did have a little problem with the pump but I took it back and it was replaced with no questions asked. Rebecca

Can't speak for years and years but ours has been in for 18 months and I love it as much today as the day we chose it. I have found it pretty much bullet proof. The honed surface highlights the light pattern. No staining or any other problems. It is just beautiful -- one of my very favorite features in the kitchen.
