Shanna, I was actually talking to Annette about watering it (since she said her leaves look like the "moisture has been sucked out"). Sorry, I should have wrote her name :) As far as I know, variegation doesn't matter in terms of watering schedules. As for repotting, I basically repot whenever I feel like it. I've never had any bad consequences. I've even repotted one hoya multiple times over the period of a few months...it's doing great now. New leaf growth wouldn't stop just from repotting. The only time I'm hesitant to repot is if the plant has been stressed (like after a long trip) - I'll usually give it a transition period before repotting. Gabi

I had replied to your original post, explaining that I have also seen some strange leaf formations on my plants that I attributed to the cloudy, rainy weather. After seeing your photos, that is definitely not the same thing I am experiencing. I agree that it appears to be spider mite damage. First and most importantly you need to correctly identify that mites are present. Getting rid of them takes work but is not impossible. You should start by spraying the underside of the leaves with water several times a day for a few weeks. Mites don't like the water. Second - your plants probably are not getting enough water to begin with. Thirsty plants have a higher concentration of sugars and nutrients in their sap, making them better targets for sucking pests like mites. With Plumeria there is a delicate balance between over and under watering. But if your soil drains very well, I suspect you may not be watering enough. Before resorting to harsh chemical miticides, you can try using a product called Anti-stress 2000. It is an anti-desiccant that in my experience works exceptionally well to eliminate mites, and it is perfectly safe to use even on fruits and veggies. I had mites on many different plants 2 summers ago - since getting rid if them with the help of the Anti-stress, the mites have not returned, even indoors. Good luck! x

J, i am from singapore. we don't have zone here so i can't tell you that but the humidity and sun here can be quite strong but not scorching strong. Most of the time it's around 30 - 40 degrees outside and we don't have four seasons as well. I have kept this plant indoor under grow light. indoor temperature here is, 28- 34% indoor and with relative humidity between 60 - 75 most of the time. I have changed the soil twice from 1 (pumice) : 1 (akadama) to slightly gritty, 1 (pumice): 1 ( granite gravel ) and less water retaining. I found the first soil mix is too water retaining and may be cause the root to rot easily. sorry i am new on succulents so not really sure if i am doing it right. Even after watering these wrinkled don't go away, is this normal on sedum?

Thx Socks, for starting the responses. I too thought abt that mix, it looks a bit sandy to me. Is that soil hard to your touch? Agreeing w/ all suggested above, I'd also get some Perlite & mix it in equal parts w/ the C&S mix mentioned above; it needs to be at least 50/50 or the Perlite won't be enough to keep it fast draining. I'd take the wrinkling to indicate thirst, but don't know where you're located. If in FLA, I'll leave it to others for addt'l suggestions. When was the last time it was watered? I'd try a good, deep watering, 'til it comes out the bottom, then wait a bit & pour away any excess.
