Which is better ?????

Hi All !!

Currently I have my more rescent pictures stored in the film developing paper... The others are in an album... The problem is it is the type you just slip the photo into the side... My question to you is... Should I keep them the way they are.. or take them out of the photo albums..... I did a really good job when I did the albums... I had all of my Christmas together and in order of year...Starting with earliest and going to the most recent.. I did that with all of my photos.. They all also have names and dates on the back...I guess you can say that I am "organized" and "neat".... So, what should I do......

Also, when I am doing an album, the first thing that I do is I go to my albums get all of the pictures out... Put them into envolopes ... One year per envolope... It's always all of the same event... I do each album for one event... I have one for just Christmas.. One for Vacation.. etc... So all idea's are welcome !!!!

Dear Matt,
If you have them organized already I would leave them that way, till you get around to scrapping them. The slide in type of album is not near as bad on a photo as the magnetic type of albums. A LOT of the so called safe photo boxes are in fact loaded with acid so moving them from the album to one of those boxes would probably not be any better for your photos. Penny

Thank you all for your input, such a wide range of answers. I forgot to think about hole placement when countertop fabricator was here as I should have had him cut out just the center hole and then place the faucet in to then see how far out the other holes should go. Intead I just looked at his pencil marks of eight inches out from the middle hole which looked like a good amount forgetting about faucet handle sticking out. (I don't like the accessories way out to the side). Anyway live and learn. Although the idea of turning it so the knob is in the front seemed like a good idea which many of you suggested I just don't like the way it looks with my faucet. I ended up putting the soap dispensor on the right as it's far enough away that I don't bump it when using the faucet handle and will be easy to althernate from faucet to soap. Also since one views the kitchen from the right side it has the matching hexagonal base as the faucet so it looks pretty whereas there was not a matching airswitch. I did get a good laugh from the person that said I was over thinking it as I am very glad they are not inside my head b/c over-thinking and ruminating about each and every decison during this rennovation is the only process I know. Glad it's almost over.

Both colors work with the ivory paint, peacock is denser and won’t necessarily need to be sealed if you’re considered durability. Fantasy brown I believe is more like a hard marble.

Whatever surfacing material you decide on - I prefer pavers - that is a very small area to accommodate the patio furniture you envision. 9' b 9' is just too cramped. I'd enlarge it to at least 12' b 12'.

Solid on a deck anything never ever wears well. You want semi transparent if you don't want to be out there every year redoing it where the traffic paths are.

I have to agree with everyone else. Espesially if they aren't going to be spending forever in them.

My only concern is I was told you should not write on the back of the pictures because the writting will eventualy come through....But I may be mistaken

You should not write on the backs of photos with certain kinds of pens, some rub off, some come through to the front, and some you have to mark so hard with that the raised lettering shows on the front... The best thing to use is a stabillo pencil like what they use in yearbooks. Mat, I agree with the others on where to store your pics.

You ladies are right about not writing on the backs of photos, I missed that part the first time I read this post. Sometimes if you buy a large WHITE art eraser (dollar tree has them for $1.00) it will take off the ink even if it has been on the photo for a long time, and the ink WILL come through on the print, I have some to prove it. :( Penny
