I keep hearing about this dimond dust paper and was just wondering where you buy it at? TIA Rhonda

I have never seen it at Michael's here in my town but I think someone said they got it there once. Also I think Paper Adventures carries it, and probably a lot more online stores. It is really pretty, it has the look of glitter embedded in the page. Penny

I have a few sheets and never used them. They are just SO pretty that I was afraid to use them! lol Actually, does anyone have any neat ideas on ways to use them? HELP! Heidi

What you're describing sounds more like something I'd do for an occasional deep cleaning. For weekly maintenance, I'd use a hand vac or small shop vac (I have both Oreck and Shop Vac 1 gal) with a soft brush attachment, opening the doors and doing the back surfaces too. Lily, huck toweling? Just googled it and hard to tell what it is... Can you enlighten me? About microfiber, honestly I cannot stand the way that stuff feels on my hands, it's similar to chalk on a blackboard and it snags on cuticles. I have to wear a pair of disposable latex gloves when using them -- which sort of defeats the purpose of using something re-useable, LOL. I just noticed yesterday that the horizontal part of my PT holder is covered with PT dust. It has been up in this house for a year. It's a very nice one from Ballard Designs and was up in my last house for 2-3 years and never got any dust on it at all. It's definitely little PT fibres.

LMAO!!! (Sorry kickball, I have no advice. I can only say that I wouldn't be worried about what comes up in an initial wipe, but would keep an eye on it. And might be tempted to run a clean cycle early in the game - check out the Wolf flaking thread.)

Any rubbing technique will have to be done everywhere because it will change the sheen. One way is to use finest steel wool, and go in one direction, usually with the grain, then vac. off the dust and buff. Another way is to use a fine abrasive paste or powder, like a buffing compound or rottenstone + oil. The best way to get the nubs down is with a fine sandpaper (1500 grit) and water plus a drop of detergent. Great for borders of Las Vegas pics. Punch out stars with them....that's all I can think of.

i sure hope someone answers you on where to find it i posted that same question bout 4 months ago and i still dont have any but i love to do the stars as someone suggested because me and my finacee went to the KISS concert in knoxville in april and although i was way too far away to get pictures i do have some pic of all of us at the concert and some great soveniers of the night.

It is beautiful paper! I got some at Ben Franklin and at Stamp Express (LSS)!! They usually run about $1/sheet and come in a lot of cool colors! I might be willing swap some---let me know! Heidi PS Stamp Express will soon have an online store!

These papers are terrific enhancers to your Christmas and New Year's photos -- think presents, balloons, fireworks, the foil tops of champagne bottles, Christmas tree decorations, and so on. They're also cool on feminine or fantasy pages -- think prom dresses, ruby red slippers, castles, mirror mirror on the wall, ballet slippers, and so on. And on nature pages -- think butterflies, raindrops, puddles, seaweed, suns, moons, snow, exotic birds, lady bug spots, lightning, flowers, rainbows, and so on. And of course, you can add sparkle to your lettering -- why not cut out your letters from this glittery paper? There's lots you can do! Have fun with it! Hope that helps.

And incidentally, there's an article in the July/August 2000 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine called "What can you do with Diamond Dust Paper?" Many more ideas!

I'm trying to wallpaper a page with diamond dust paper but am having a hard time finding an adhesive that will adhere to the top surface. Have tried photo corners, photo splits and Zig 2-way glue all without success. Anyone have success mounting photos ONTO this great paper?
