Dollar Tree Punches

Heads up ladies, if any of you live next to a Dollar Tree, the store in our area has restocked their punches for the back to school season. I found:
Star, Heart, Apple, Dolfin, Train, Butterfly, Music note, Teddy Bear! They are a dollar each. Good luck and happy shopping. Penny

I was just at the Dollar Tree by me today. I didn't see any. I have gotten them there before though. I will have to go back tomorrow and take a closer look. Thanks for the info.

I think they will grow, but like you said, what is the quality? I have recently ordered some bulbs from an online source, and now I can see why people talk about the quality of certain vendors versus big box stores. While the price is still a factor to me, but by ordering (a particular variety) of the same kind of bulbs I could pick up locally at some store, I can see the difference. Having said that, if we can take care of our plants, we may still be able to turn some cheap finds into great specimens.

I do believe that's a good possibility. I top grafted one myself and it's sitting up on the gravel now awaiting planting. It is quite striking. IOW weeping Katsura.

I too have used them successfully for both indoor and outdoor sowing. Outdoor - punch drain holes. I either fill with potting mix and plant seed or use as a holder for the cups that I winter sow in. Indoor - no drainage holes and use them as a flat to hold indoor sowen containers. Sandy

The way I looked at the reviews 3 being above average 4 being good 5 being best..it looks to me as it has better likes than dislikes, on Amazon. For a dollar I think it would be worth a try. And if the wires do loosen up a bit my husband is a good handyman who has had to fix more expensive items that were highly recommended such as a Food Saver model that we had about 8 months that went caput, and would have cost more to send it back to the factory, we had only used it maybe four or five times....I use a hand operated model now that would only break down if I did. LOL!!! So for a dollar? Yeah, I will try it...think it would be great for pasta, veggies, blanching veggies in summer, even if I used it just one summer season for blanching veggies before canning.

Okay Ladies now I feel really BAD! I am sorry that your stores haven't stocked them yet, but keep checking back regularly or leave your number with the store manager-(this is what I did) and have her call you the second they get there. Ours were gone in 2 days!!!!! I went back for some more to use in my swaps and there was nothing there but empty hooks! :( I was disappointed too. Hopefully they will get some in your stores soon. :) They are really easy to use and are the thumb kind and that makes them a LOT easier to use, plus they have a plastic holder on the bottom to catch the punchies.
