someone stole my ABC tracers!!

I was so excited today when I saw my QVC package in the mail. I had ordered the ABC tracer templates that were on last Sunday. Well, the package was all I got! It was nicely slit end to end on the one side and the package was completely empty! I called QVC after I talked to my post office, and they are kindly replacing them. My DH says someone probably threw them out when they found out that's what was in the package - do you think they were very disappointed?!!! I suppose they were, if they weren't a scrapbooker! Has this happened to any of you? --Patty

Dear Patty,
I sent a LARGE package of goodies to a scrapper in TX one time and she said that the postman always hangs her packages on her mailbox, since her driveway is so far from her house and when she got home all that was hanging there was the handles of the bag. I am however a little suspicious of this though since I had the box insured and it should have been signed for before it was left. Plus she also claims to have never received the letter from the post office that she had to sign in order for me to get my money back for the box. If she would have just signed the letter from the post office I would have felt a lot better about the whole thing and felt she was being more truthful about the situation. She does not post of this board so please do not feel it was someone from here. I have been delighted with all the swaps I made with the people on this forum. However on another forum I go to a woman lost over $500.00 in a credit card scam with another member. Buyer or swapper beware. The best thing to do is swap small amounts until you are positive your swap or purchase will be returned. Penny

What a shame about your tracers! Geez...honesty is such an easy thing to practice...so sad that many people don't see it that way, eh? I can't believe that someone would actually steal something out of the mail!! Holy smokes..some people!!
Glad to hear though that QVC is replacing them!

I'm going to take a pass on this swap...I am still trying to get over the Thanksgiving that was supposed to be elsewhere....but ended up here anyways....and now onto Christmas LOL....and if that wasnt bad enough, someone decided to trash half of my outside Christmas ornaments tonight(some people are just sick, they tore up my elderly neighbors display as well!)...I almost lost the little bit of Christmas spirit I had, but I refuse to let some idiot spoil it for me AND I am determined to get into the full spirit just to spite them LOL! So if I don't talk to you all again before the season ends(I am sure I will)... I hope you all have a Happy Hanukkah and/or a Merry Christmas Donna

Hi I am Teresa, 36 from MD, separated 2 girls 7, Barbara and 12, Ashley. I have been planning my scrapbook for 2 years (was great therapy during the initial shock of separation) and now finally putting it all together. I sure hope the girls don't tire of me taking pictures of everything we do. I never did the picture thing when they were smaller, just started with the separation, you know the 1st christmas alone, any road trips, everything we do, this Friday we are "doing" Barbi's first carnival, so I can wait. Anyone living in the MD DC VA area hearing of a rodeo in town on the weekend would you be so kind as to let me know. Barbi's dad promised and promised that they would go to the one here last weekend, but his wonderful girlfriend said no (a whole 'nother story) so needless to say she was heartbroken. Ok I have rambled enough, sorry, but it makes me a stronger person to "see" what a jerk he is... Anyway thanks for listening.

Olychick, unfortunately, it appears that John Wilson, who wrote the article to which you've provided the link, is also guilty of giving incorrect information. Although I have not yet gone through the entire owners manual for the 2013 RX350, I have seen enough to show that he misunderstood the Lexus spokesperson. John Wilson wrote, "If you lock your RX with the key fob, then approach it and auto unlock it by opening the door or rear hatch, then close the car and walk away, the car will relock automatically — as long as it senses the key fob has also left the proximity of the car." The owners manual on page 77 (5th bullet point down from the top of the page) states, "Back door operation "The back door can be opened even if it is locked. Lock the back door again when you leave the vehicle. The back door will not lock automatically after it has been opened and then closed." [emphasis added] What the Lexus spokesperson undoubtedly told Mr. Wilson is as I've already stated -- if the vehicle is locked and you unlock it using the key fob but don't open a door within the specified number of seconds (default is 60 seconds but you can customize to 30 seconds or to 120 seconds), the doors will automatically relock. The features customization section begins on page 980 of the owners manual. Anything having to do with locking/unlocking the 2013 RX350 (that can be customized) is listed on pages 983-985. And nowhere does it say what Mr. Wilson claims he was told. And I do not believe that Lexus would have the features as Mr. Wilson states without it being in the manual, because that feature would be a biggie.

I had a problem once with our post office. We had a po box and at christmas time received a notice that a package had arrived for us. 2 times we tried to pick it up and were told the notice was put in our box by mistake. about a month later we were visiting friends in another town when she asked why I hadn't said anything about our christmas gifts. She did a trace on the package and about a month later I received another notice that we had a package. I was told we never tried to pick it up and if we had we would of had a card with the number of the shelf space it was on. Well what we had was a box full of mold. She had sent us several dozen home made cookies and pita bread. The post office would do nothing about it since the package wasn't insurred

I got my ABC tracers! QVC sent them at no charge, and they sent them UPS this time. Now if I can just find time to scrap!! - Patty
