Oakley - I'm so sorry about you losing your dad, brother and I guess basically your mom as well. I've lost my dad and one of my brothers and it's hard. I've been thinking a lot about friends and family lately and will probably be doing so over the next few months. I will be 60 in January and for some reason it is making me think about a lot of things - the future and what will it bring and the past and have I been happy with it. I'm happy with my choice in DH and I love my kids but sometimes wonder about roads untraveled and choices made. Would I do anything differently? I don't know. I know that the last 10 years, since turning 50, have just flown by and so I know how fast the next 10 years will go. I know that I have many changes ahead of me - retirement, my mom will probably pass away, my kids will develop careers and hopefully bring me DIL's (I have 2 sons) and maybe grandbabies. But the thing that I am not looking forward to is losing friends. That will be especially hard. Well, I just reread this and aren't I melancholy today. Shall I delete it - no I think I'll post it anyway.

We went to 2 loacation of Tuesday Morning yesterday and found some great deals. I bought 3 pkg. of charm squares and 2 jelly rolls. They are in retro prints and I will use them for outreach quilts for my guild. I also bought 2 books and 2 wallhanging kits (fabric and instructions) for out guild library raffles. Each month I have 1 book and 1 pattern. We sell tickets for $1 each and all the money earned goes toward new books and magazines for the library. We usually net $40 a month so not too bad. Thanks imn2crafts for posting about the great deals! Mary PS My friend said she would go down to NY with me but wasn't going to spend any money. She spent $100 at the first location and another $45 and the second!

Hey, I like the idea. I have been to the "glyphs " site and didn't care for it. I would prefer a book club site here. I think everyone here is more fun and friendly than the people on that forum seemed. I have already been to the suggestions area and put in my vote. Thanks for the idea...
