Looking for an easy to use Scrapbook computer program

I have never scrapbooked but am interested in starting. I enjoy being on the computer so I thought this might be the way to start. Any suggest on programs, where to buy them and any scrapbooking sites I could look into?

Thanks

I really like the Page Printables by Cock-A-Doodle Do Inc. Also, the Best of Creative Lettering by Creating Keepsakes is fairly good. I just received the ProvoCraft Hugware Sampler today, but haven't loaded it yet.

Those are good programs as I use them too. I have found that Creative Photo Albums Delux by Dogyte Development is even easier. I got it for my very active in sports 9 year old niece, who by the way loves to scrapbook as much as I go (I have completed 17 scrapbooks in two years). She loves it.

There are several programs but they aren't cheap. I also note that many are not that user friendly. There was discussion on this subject in the landscape design forum a year ago. Better Homes and Garden has also a free online program but it's very awkward. Wouldn't you find it easier to simply get a graph paper and plot down your home, location of the permanent structures, etc. I finally did my plotting down this way, and it sure helped for easy reference. You can get tracing paper and superimpose it on the grid to let you freely draw plants over it.

I got Hallmark's Scrapbook Studio and I'm not impressed. The one I really want is Scrapbook Workshop, I think it's called. It's a huge thing about $40 I think. I saw it at Office Maxx. I figured the Hallmark thing would work since it was only $20, but I should have spent the extra $20 to get the one I really wanted. Casper

Transfer Programs to New Win10 Computer?

I should have given more detail. The Win7 is probably not legitimate. I bought the old desk top several years ago on craigslist. It appeared to have been used in a business environment. It had/has Win7 Ultimate, but it was originally an ME machine. It also had MS Office. After ~1 year, I got messages that the MS Office needed renewing. Eventually, I went to my computer guy, who I guess has purchased bulk copies of various office sweets etc and also upgrades and retires old computers, presumably/perhaps moving their liscenses. He got Office reset. Last year, I had a problem needing his help and he told me that there were now indications that the Win7 ultimate was potentially not legal, but that he didn't have any copies of Ultimate. I'm not sure why he didn't set up a normal Win7 that I assume he has. A month or two after this, I began getting the Windows not real messages with the black screen.

Is there an easy to use floor plan program
Q

I find the easiest is to draw the floor plan to scale on a piece of graph paper . Then cut out, of light cardboard all the furniture pieces to scale and play with them much easier than trying to navigate most software. You can even take a picture of each layout for reference. I do this all the time but keep in mind sometimes what seems to work on paper is not always the fact in real life as to how you move around. If you post the floor plan here also to scale with all measurements clearly marked you might get some good ideas too. If you already have the furniture you will need to provide those measurements too.

Please tell me how you use this software? I scrapbook with large pages, how would it work out? Is the laser print acid free? I am new to this idea, I do it the hard way although it looks terrific.

I have some questions about the programs too- I saw one at AC Moore for 19.99 and I almost bought it, but then I didn't because I wasn't sure what it did. Do they ONLY have preprogrammed titles, or is it truly a nice font that you can use to make your own titles? if so, what's different about them than just using print shop?

I have the American Greetings Scrapbooks & More program. It comes with sooo many fonts, I had to print a sample letter from each one and hang it up so I can see them all and remember all the choices!! You can make cards and all sorts of stuff. Printer ink itself is a safe choice for scrapbooks--lots of debate on it in the past--just make sure when you print, that you use your acid-free paper and then it should be fine. I've had the program for over a year and still haven't used all the stuff!! Have fun...
