Beverlyal...goodness, I hope I didn't come across as one who thinks anyone's taste in food is superior to that of anyone else. Jeepers, I have a secret penchant for Chef Boyardee's Beef-a-Roni (which amuses my husband no end), so who am I to take on airs! :D I was simply puzzled at your expressed distaste for poached eggs, since you and I are in complete agreement regarding cooked-white, runny-yolk, and if the poached egg in question meets those criteria, it just tastes like an over-medium or a properly soft-boiled egg to me...the butter for the poached being provided by the hollandaise, and for the soft boiled, by the toast I eat it on. But, it may well be that you taste something I do not, or perhaps the texture difference turns you off. As you say, it would be boring if everyone had the same tastes...there would be more competition for favorite foods as well! :D By the way, there are many things that I'm lukewarm on that I could eat with pleasure if they were smothered in hollandaise....mmmmm!

Try Tide with bleach. I used to have nice white clothes when I was younger because I used Oxydol with bleach. As I aged, I started to itch and thought it was the harsh detergents. I kept trying different detergents for a long time before I realized it wasn't the laundry powder that made me itch. A few years later my sis came for a visit, she pulled out a snow white pair of jeans. I asked her how she did that, she said Tide with bleach. I was one upped by my "little" sister. LOL Now my whites are snow white too.

Sure, Build.com and other sites sell them. Found one in about two minutes. Here But they are not going to work for a sloped ceiling. No one probably makes one that swivels like you would need for that application. Heat in a radiant form, as in a light bulb heater, travels in a straight line and you will be heating whatever surface the ceiling pitch has the bulb pointing at. You need to build out a triangular box to put the fixture in. You can drywall it so that it is not as obvious as mine was. It is not a great picture, but in the upper left side of the photo you can see the maple triangular box that gives my light fixture a level surface to hang on.

It definitely depends on the look you're going for. I don't think of an ogee edge as going well for modern, contemporary, or most transitional looks. Ogee can look very nice for a more traditional feel. Personally, I wouldn't really want to do it because I see it as catching more "stuff" that you don't want to have to deal with...I see it as being more difficult to clean. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. I don't have it and never have, but that's my impression. Most people do stay away from a full bullnose because of the drip issues mentioned - liquids tend to run right over the edge and curl around to drip down the cabinets. I've been told that 1/2-bull doesn't do that. I'm hard pressed to think of anyone on here that has a full bullnose. My favorite (and surprisingly since everything else has been so pricey) least expensive edge really is an eased edge. We spent more on our granite than we intended, but luckily didn't have to worry about spending more for a fancy edge! But, all in all, go with what you love - don't worry if it's "in"...unless you intend to sell the house within less than 5 years since styles change all the time.
