Anne, I also have only used the two-sided tape. I am a fairly new scrapper. I guess you would say I am self-taught. I've never taken a class and have learned everything from web sites. I don't know anyone else who does scrapbooking and I am a little afraid to try the glue. I'd also be interested to hear what type of glue others use. Then maybe I will give it a try.

I also don't use glue.

My biggest concern is that it may dry clear but you can see it if it hasn't been totally covered, even when it has dried clear it looks different from the regular paper.

I use glue sticks. Apply glue to the back of your page embellishment or photo and stick it on. No big deal. I have been cropping for three years and have completed 6 albums, so I guess that's enough anecdotal evidence for me!

i simply cant imagine doing my albums with the "blue glue" i love it and it is so much easier than the tapes. i use it in all of my albums and i am working on album #29 and #30. i have never had a problem of any kind with it. once you use it you will never go back to tape agian. :)

I use the blue glue (I think it's Zig brand??) for tiny items like small punches and small areas of die cuts. For pics and large items, I use double sided tape. I've had no problems with the glue at all. Actually, I like it better, but I've become so accustomed to my tape runner that I automatically grab that rather than the glue stick every time.

If you're uncomfortable using it, then don't. There's nothing wrong with the tape you're using. Of course, you could always test it on a small item.

As far as it coming through to the other side, I've not seen that happen yet. But then again, I'm not putting gobs of it on either. IT's a thin enough substance that that shouldn't happen.

I use the glue pen too. It's not like using Elmer's or anything, thick and runs through the page, it's very thin and most of the glue pens have a temporary/permanent bond...I've also made numerous albums and have not had a problem. I use photo adhesives as well, however sometimes with small diecuts and especially punchies the tape is to big; so I reach for tweezers and my glue pen!

I use the Creative Memories tape runner, but am thinking of switching to something else. Has anyone ever tried "Hermafix"??

I tried everything when I first began scrapping. I prefer the glue stick. I use different kinds, but mostly ROSS STIK, which is very inexpensive. It's Acid Free and Photo Safe. It comes in blue, as well as clear, but I prefer the clear. I just put a thin coating around the edges of the photos, etc. I've done 9 books now, with no problems.
