ravencajun: I couldn't find my way thru winmail-general tab-play sound, but I also didn't try very hard because I prefer not to have the sound. So I took a look at adding a tray icon and wow, those directions look like more than I want to tackle! I think all this is trying to tell me that I am trying to be overly lazy, so maybe I'll just do those extra couple of clicks to see if there's any new mail. It's not like I'm walking out to our real mailbox several times a day to see if the postman came! Thanks much!

Garden Web messaging is back without having to follow one another! Chemocurl zn5b/6a Indiana(zone 5/6)February 21, 2015 Below I'm copying phylis's post from The Seed Exchange. Go to https://www.houzz.com/editProfile Edit Profile -> Advanced Settings -> Privacy Settings -> Who can message me -> select "Allow anyone to message me" (near bottom of page) That will place a "MESSAGE" link on your Member page. (Click on my name to see what I mean.) ADDITIONALLY you will not be able to see your OWN message link on YOUR page, so you might ask that someone message you or let you know if they see it. ADDITIONALLY , you will probably want to turn on getting email alerts whenever you get a new message. On the same Advanced Setting page as noted above choose EMAIL NOTIFICATION...(when) Someone messages me...EVERY TIME. That's it. I sure miss HTML. Sue...resident busy body Garden Web FAQ
