I made three with pictures of our only GS and gave one to his parents, one to the other grandparents and one for us. I love looking at the pictures, which would have been taken a year ago from that month, so that when I look at this January's pictures, I can see how much he has changed in a year. I'm keeping last year's calendar and will use it in my scrapbook probably.

Great job! I did a calender one year for Christmas for my dad's family which included Grandma, aunts, uncles, cousins, sister, mom and dad. I got everyone's birthday and anniversary and on the month of their birthday I put a picture of that person and then labeled the date as their birthday. I only labeled anniversaries on the dates, no pictures of couples. Everyone loved it and it was a keepsake that had the entire family's birthdays and anniversaries at a glance.

I too am considering opening a store, since there is not one for 40+ miles near me. I think one of, if not the most important thing is to have enough room AT the store to have permanent tables set up, so shoppers can crop at their own hours. I think it promotes sales, gets friends to crop and shop together and makes it easier to organize classes. As far as products go, a large selection of paper, stickers, templates, some of the cutting systems, page toppers, punches, scissors, etc.. A knowledgeable staff and flexible hours for working and non working moms is a must. There was as scrapbook store open here for a few months and they did NO advertising, no scheduled classes, didn't have room for even one crop table, had irregular hours that couldn't be depended upon even to just shop, and it failed miserably. I am hoping to learn from these mistakes. Penny

I work in a store and we have an amazing scrapbook section. We are a discount store and I know one of the Laura Ashley scrapbooks sells for 19.99 at our store and 59.99 at Micheals...and yes, it's the exact same book. Talk about a mark up at Micheals. I get some of the neatest items there. And best of all I get first dibs and I get to order it so if I see something I really want, I order it in. :)
