Oprah pages

Each O Oprah magazine has two heavy weight nicely designed pages that would be good in a scrap book. One page, 'Something to Think About' has a nice pattern on the back and the other page has good sayings/quotes, again nicely design with style. They test okay with a pH testing pen. What do you think, are they okay for scrapbooking?

If they tested okay with a ph pen, then I'd go for it. If you are still concerned, then put an acid free mat between it and a photo, so the photo never touches the O paper.. Love Penny

Thanks Penny, I think I will use the paper, I have sent a message to the O web site so I guess I should wait a few days to see what they have to say. What I want to use it for is a pinwheel where you turn the inside page and the photos peek thru a window. This paper is a bit heavier than usual so should work good.

Its just a come on to get you to "click" through to the ad! Look at Oprah---does she have a flat belly? I don't think so...but... I think the trash comment is pretty harsh against Oprah too. Her shows or at least some of them might not be considered the highest quality but certainly not trash. She must be doing something right to have the following she does. I saw the show today and thought that Fergie did a great job in trying to explain some of the crap that she has done. She seems to have matured into a beautiful woman and putting more thought into her actions instead of just leaping into a pile of crap. I don't understand everyone that begrudges Oprah her thousand dollar shoes or her own chef etc etc.....that's what rich people do and she has helped millions of people and even with the OWN network, she is trying to program quality tv....I am not the biggest Oprah fan and sometimes here her make a comment and think, Get over yourself Oprah, but I don't envy her the fruits of her labor. If her shoes are 2 grand......I saw go for it Oprah.

Those comments are priceless! Reminds me of the comments left after a Paula Deen recipe for English peas, which consisted of opening a can of English peas and cooking them with a stick of butter. I laughed so hard I cried at some of the reviews. Of course I loathe Paula Deen, which made the experience that much more gratifying.

In some of the older "Home Compainion" Magazines there is a Mary Englebert (sp) paper doll on the next to the last page, which would also work great for scrapbooking, and at the dollar tree, I found an acid free gift bag with a paper doll attached and clothes to cut out on the bag. Love Penny

Hi Penny, thanks for the tip. I'll have to look around for them and others, I hadn't really thought about the dollar store and other mags.
