Guess what............

I now have my very own scrapbooking station! I cleaned out an old desk we were basically using for a file cabnit anyway. It's an antique desk with a lid that pulls down to work on. It also has several little compartments for all the pens, siccors, and other supplies. I'm so excited! I was using clear containers for everything, and storing them in a closet before. Now I can just pull up a chair, sit down, srapbook a while, and then shut the lid on it. It's great! Just thought I would share my excitment.

Glad to hear you got a space for your scrapping too. I don't know what I would do if I didnt have mine. It goes from being spotless to a total disaster in minutes. LOL Penny

Yes David & Jqpublic, They are reruns but when you are a gardening addicted person who cares if they are. Each time you watch them you may get some info or ideas you might of missed previous. Six, ten, 20 years ago my ideas and style have changed and sometimes there is inspiration in others styles. So for us who can't get enough...get your coffee ready or Tivo. But you have to admit is the only true garden show showing on HGTV these days.

I wondered about you both Nan and Brad. I saw Louisville (my old "home" town) was right in the path of this system so I knew Kentucky was probably in for it. March sure has come in like a Lion as they say. I hope it goes out like a lamb. This Wednesday the weather people are saying upper 70's, but another system comes in Friday to change that. Not sure if it's rain or snow though...............Thursday, March 17th, is St. Patricks day and the official start of our gardening season. Someone needs to stabilize the weather a bit more before I really go tearing into things though...........Maryl

I would have actually liked this with blue/teal grout to pick up the cast of the glass block (glass block is not generally a favorite of mine outside of the Deco Machine age period, but again here it works) So I would have liked several other colors but red myself but it depends on the grout available and so forth. The shower fixtures I show apparently come in 2 dozen colors. The rest of the house is mostly that late 70s early 80s soft contemporary with a little bit of post mod, but I wonder if the current owners added all the post mod.

Well at least the delayed arrival provided a little pick-me-up after all. Hopefully you won't have to replace both the indoor and outdoor components - although none of it is inexpensive. As for the mail - DD's college application to Tufts mailed in 2001 via Registered-Return Receipt (remember the little green postcards?) never arrived. According to the tracking it never even left our local post office. Someday they'll remodel and discover it behind the counter.

Your scrapping station sounds very nice! My station is just a card table in our bedroom, but it serves the purpose. At Christmas time I bought some Rubbermaid stackable drawer organizer thingies and put lots of my supplies in those. That really helped. :o) Enjoy your new work space! ~ Rita

Sounds so sweet! I don't know which is best...the antique desk or the scrapbooking station (-; I love antiques and I am beginning to love scrapbooking!!! Where is your desk located? I just found a place to put all my stuff. In a microwave stand, turned TV stand. In my daughters bedroom that she just moved out of. Still need a table to work on...hee...antique is good...hehe! My desk is in a entry way in my living room. So, it's out of the way. I've had the desk for years. I just never thought to clean it out for a scrapbooking station before. I was staring (zoneing out)at it one day, and it just came to me. It has worked out really nice so far.
