Robes

I've been looking for a thin cotton robe (not terry or velour) in an "Egyptian cotton bedsheet" type fabric, but haven't had any luck. Does anyone have suggestions of places online or brick and mortar to try? Most every robe I see is terry or a waffle weave or something, but I'm just looking for something lightweight.

Check out Vermont Country store. They sell a white robe from Eileen West without the nightgown so it's cheaper.

Search "cotton sateen robe" and you will see many options.

Oh my gosh--I just found the best three-in-one chrome and white ceramic hook from Anthropologie. This one isn't white, but mine is--it's called the soda fountain hook. I don't see it on their website but the store near me had several left. I was looking for a similar solution and snapped this right up; I'm planning to return the moen fixtures I bought as soon as they arrive. I only have about three inches for a single robe/towel hook by the shower, so I was overjoyed. Two of these and you'd be set. My look is similar--sleek and modern, though I did enjoy the touch of whimsy imparted by these fixtures.

mamapinky -- My robes unzip completely. I think it's called a 'breakaway zipper'. seagrass -- Oh, I like that one! I may come back to that. This morning I kept on the web until I found a 'possible' robe, at Penney's of all places! Big Sales. I ended up spending $107 to reach the free shipping amount. These are all things I can use. There's the robe, two cotton Adonna nighties, and three packs of three Jockey Comfies panties. BTW, if anyone else loves these panties, snap them up now. The new ones have more nylon content. These are 83% cotton/17% nylon. The price for mine came out to about $6.60/pair; these are 3-packs with two white pair and one pink.) Maybe...maybe I'll like this robe. (Now I'm wondering if it has that breakaway zipper, although I seldom use the feature.)

That is the Easton Robe Hook from Waterworks. It is expensive but a really nice hook. Maybe you can find some alternatives now that you know the source of the one in the picture.

Tried Googling cotten sateen robes and haven't had much luck. Some that I found were fairly pricey and others had prints all over them. I'm looking a simple white one. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate them.

My husbands sister was visiting us from Russia last week and when setting up the guest room I found a nice soft cotton blend robe at Kohls. It was a waffle weave type fabric but very nice to the touch. I know it's not exactly what you're asking for but it was really nice and at only 26.99 very affordable too. She wore it every day she was here and loved it enough that she asked if she could take it with her.

Here is one from Vermont Country Store...not sure if you want a wrap or not, long or short, etc. They actually have a few different Eileen West white woven robes but most have some embellishment...if that doesn't matter, then check out the others.

I was just about to reply "Eileen West" as I was scrolling and reading and saw others feel the same. Her robes and gowns are the best. So light, so comfortable, so pretty. And I just spilled bleach on my current EW robe, so I will be looking for a new one. Mine was light blue, so I am sick about the bleach spots.

Here is another one from VCS that I just ordered. I love their products, and love seersucker, so I canÃ¯Â¿Â½t wait to try this one out. They also have a white lawn robe for $89, but it has too many ruffles for me. I like light and simple.

I've been looking for robes for my guest room and didn't want to spend a lot of money as we don't have overnight guests that often. So inspired by your post, I came across these guys. Haven't ordered anything yet, so I can't vouch for them, but the prices look excellent.

I'm not crazy about robes that tie at the waist and was looking for one in a lightweight cotton for summer many years ago. My mom, who loved to sew, made me one that was perfect from a wrinkle-proof cotton (with some poly) sheet that she bought on sale. It was so pretty! She made it A-line with a snap closure down the front. In retrospect, it probably was similar to a house dress, but looked fresh, young . . . and never wrinkled. If you can sew, making your own might be an option. I wish Mom could still sew as I'd love to have a few more :~(

Nanny2a, that's funny. I wasn't in the market for a new robe, but when I looked up VCS to see if they had cotton robes for tammy, I saw the seersucker robes and bought the same one you did in blue. Twins.
