Thank you for the suggestions! I just didn't want the whole house to be a single color. The house is now painted avocado, rust, and mustard and those are not my prefence. I wanted palladian blue, grey, and beige. Unfortunately all of the Grey/blues that I tried just turn ugly grey because of the shadows so I went warmer instead. Thanks again!

Yes. I have only a couple colors bloom when there used to be others. Is it cross pollination? Or maybe the fancy ones succumbed to the others? I may try to transplant the fancier ones this year to better places and see what happens. I scatter lime, sometimes phosphorus, don't know if it helps. Thought the lime would get rid of moss. It didn't--those didn't bloom. This year there were many irises blooming around this neighborhood, which had not in years. And I know those others had no help--some are growing in tall weeds. There was a lot of rain last year. Especially Summer except August, up until January. Maybe they need water when dormant or before or after? I don't know what zone you're in. I think they must like water, unlike what I have heard. I think Bearded Irises are one of my greatest conundrums. I used to have a white which took 3 years to bloom and smelled like vanilla. Unfortunately I shared it, thinking it was purple, and she said it never bloomed but once in white, but never again, when I asked for a division, she said she didn't know which one it was. Do yours smell like vanilla?

The mosaic installation is indeed lacking. The wall tile, there are usually pattern restrictions when installing tiles that are long like yours, if they are over 12" in length. The reason is that often times these tiles are bowed, they are not perfectly flat. Take two of the tiles, stack them so glaze is touching glaze. Do they rock against one another? Installing these tiles in an improper offset pattern can result in the "high midsection" of one tile being next to the "low end" of the neighboring tile. Lippage. Grout colors, if powdered grout was used, I'll dry mix all the powder first, then portion it out as I mix batch to batch. That way you don't suffer from color changes due to differing lot numbers. Most color changes come from water. Too much water used in this batch versus the other batch, too much water used when cleaning up this section versus the other section, etc. Some color variation can blend out over time once all the grout and thinset is equally cured. The grout can wick moisture from the thinset behind the tile. Even slight differences in moisture can cause grout to shade differently. Acid washing? That can kill the color as well. I never use acid on cementitious grout. It kills the color and the texture, who knows what dilution rate was used. Definitely bring in supervision. You have issues. The mosaic is bad. If the wall field tile is large format and the manufacturer has published restrictions on how is should be installed, perhaps those instructions were not followed. Basic TCNA installation instructions not being followed, caulk versus grout used in the changes of plane, for example. When I see sloppy finish work, it does make me curious about the attention to detail given to the waterproofing behind the tile, the stuff that can't be seen. Good luck getting this resolved to your satisfaction.

That's the most ironic thing. Everyone in my family likes it even though they do agree it looks surprisingly different than my sample board. Unfortunately, I really don't. I have only seen it once in one light, so maybe it will grow on me or go more brown in different lights. The crazy thing is I had a 3x3 board that I painted and let it sit outside my house for 2 months. I saw it at every time of day, and I never got that color... It always showed much more brown. We shall see when I paint a spot on my house with a newly mixed gallon of it. Thanks!
