I always ask for any test results to be printed and handed to me before I leave an appointment. I also have started asking for results to be emailed to me. This is working out well. I can save test results documents in a folder on my computer. I also started tracking blood test results on a spreadsheet. I find it so much easier to see how things are changing from one year to the next, when I can see them side by side in one document rather than sifting through many documents. I do have a lot of old records stuck in an old briefcase somewhere and I need to go through those and weed through them. I would never in a million years, store any of my personal information or documents on an online site, like 'Cloud', and especially medical records. I cannot understand how people cannot anticipate the problems that could arise from doing things that way. I would not shred any medical document no matter how old. Once they are gone, they are gone. Try getting a copy from the medical records department for old medical procedures or tests and find out they can't find them and you will never shred another medical document.

Have you though about contacting your local County Agricultural agent? I now there are systems available to give precise measurement of a field as the big farmers use it for plowing, planting and harvesting. My guess is that you are looking for more precision and accuracy than is needed for the job you are trying to do. Yes when you plant a tree, you are talking of about a 2' circle. However the tree at maturity will require a circle about 30 feet in diameter, and a bush depending on what it is, 4' to 10'. Because of this you only need cover your yard with grid with 10' squares and locate each tree and bush with in that grid. If you plant a Maple and a rose bush in the same grid, it will be easy to tell the rose bush from the maple. You could increase the accuracy of the location, by designating the southwest quarter of grid box 10. This would be similar to the Township/Section system surveyors uses to designate property. If you are not familiar with the method of surveying, there are many documents describing the system, as it was codified in the 1780's, and all property in US deeds today are still described by the same system.

Oh good grief! At my age...LOL...I think it would be virtually impossible to create a list of every book I've ever read. Actually...it would take up too much of my reading time to even contemplate such a task. I feel fortunate that I've managed to create a reminder system for just the last few years. Like you, dees...I began reading at a very early age thanks to a home library and dedicated "literary types" in house. I, too, started with some of the more challenging tomes. If I remember correctly...Anna Karinina was one of my firsts. My jouth was a challenging world. It would have been impossible without books. Today...there's not a room in my home...including the bathrooms...without books. I can't even guess at the total number...but I have to weed through them and gift them to the local library every once in a while or I'd never have shelf space for newer editions. It's a daunting task as it's too much like parting with old friends. But...alas...a necessity. My home today is a town house. When the floors creak...I get pangs of guilt. Then I start packing up the next collection for the library. LOL
