Creative Memories - sales??

I really love using CM products, but they are never on sale.

Does anyone know of anyone, maybe a consultant that is going out of business, that has CM items on sale????

Also, are there any other great scrapbook message boards out there??

Thanks for your help.

I know what you mean about sales. Do you have a CM consultant you regularly buy from? If so, does she keep a card (I think it's called Memory Savers card or something), where she tallies all your purchases? When you buy $250 from a CM consultant, you get $25 off your next purchase. That's like saving 10% off everything you buy. Except that you have to wait to see the savings. But I think this is a good deal. There are a couple of scrapbook shops near me that offer purchase savings cards too, but both of them offer 10% after $200 in purchases. That's only 5%. So in the long run, CM is a better deal.

Also, my CM consultant (my sis too!) offers a Workshop card, that when you attend 6 workshops, your next one is free.

Ask your CM consultant about these offers.

Dear Julie,
I think when they sign the contract for CM they have to agree NOT to sell the items any cheaper than what they are normally listed for in the books. That is why when they go out of business they ususally have to sell their overstock and kits to other consultants. Occasionally you will see on a swap forum board one or two girls selling to anyone but that is the reason most of them are afraid to sell it cheaper to other girls. Penny

Creative Memory Paper?

Dorothy -- Hopefully by now you have found a local CM person. The paper is acid free and lignan free - all of which is popular now because it doesn't react with your pictures and destroy them -- as did the paper in those old scrap books and magnetic page albums. And, of course it comes in beautiful colors and textures. And, no, I am not a consultant!! Marcia

I have both types of pens, but I prefer the thin point. The bold tip is too hard to write with. With the thin point you can do more accenting. The bold tip gives you a caligraphy look. I hope this helps.

I've been finding a BUNCH of CM stuff on Ebay. Do a search by Creative Memories and you'll be amazed. I just got a great template for $4.00.

I went to a crop last Friday and my consultant was selling some albums and supplies for 50% off! I got two 12x12 albums for $23.00. So CM sales are out there. Good luck!
