Home Sweet Home

Today I found one of the few pictures of my daughter's "little girl" room, before we redecorated it a couple of years ago. I had forgotten so many of the little details, toys, etc that she had. So this is a reminder to all of you: take pictures of your kids' rooms, your family rooms, the outside of your home, etc. That's one of my projects for this weekend.

Good reminder. I took pics of the kids rooms before we moved, and then of the new house. Not sure how to incorporate it into an album, but I know years from now, I will be glad I have those pics.

When you guys get the photos done of your rooms, get two sets and give the other set complete, without cropping of any kind to your mom, daughter, etc, anyone who lives in a DIFFERENT home than you do. They can really come in handy in case of a fire and insurance claims later. Or for a reason like I had to use mine for: a divorce, where the ex had took antiques that belonged to my mother and said they never existed. Oops! Nothing like a good color photo in court. LOL Penny

I've spent the last 3 days hand-weeding my vege and seed starting garden and covering deeply with straw/hay (has food and perennial flower seeds right now) - so that was a lot of work. The pictures of my garden showed the property quite well so I thought I'd share with ya all. Then some other shots on the way back into the house, "as-always!" Gayle, I too am rediscovering classmates and old friends. It's not abnormal to move into your parents home - it's the lifecycle of living. Did you know in Germany the houses have 3 stories - each level to accommodate the various stages in family life? Ground floor for grandparents, 1st floor for growing families and 2nd floor for newly weds starting a family. It's not abnormal at all. It's life. Generations of passing down our heritage. Don't feel guilty. It's YOUR HOME now. Enjoy your re-discovered friends, and enjoy this part of you life. Isn't this what you worked for? Your parents are well cared for? The cycle continues. North America may do things a little differently but basically, it's the same. Old things become new again. LOL McPeg

I have visited the resort of my friend and I was amazed how cute the small nipa hut built inside their resort. If you will look at a glance you would not notice that it is a small house. because the style is so modern but when you see it inside it was an old fashioned house like what I have seen photos. It is mainly one of the cutest attraction in that place. Its so small and yet very comfortable place to stay.
