OH thanks a billion "gardengal48" I really appreciate your answer and explaination!!!! One thing I'm confused about is the first insects to attack it looks like a small flying version of this larger weevil. I just touch the leaves and they fly off. Then later there are the bigger crawling weevils. Is this all part of the same insects life cycle? Or do you think I have two different pests?????? Also any advice or details you can share about "insecticides containing carbaryl or bifenthrin" would be appreciated too....I am not used to using insecticides....do you know a brand name for these?

IMO either a tile or tile look but the right choice would be wood like the rest of the house . Are you pets old ? If so they need to be in a more controlled area still in the home but not allowed to go pee everywhere ever . we had old pets afew times and did exactly that so they were still part of the family but not ruining the house

If you can undo the paint on the stone, it would be a huge improvement. You should paint the house a color that allows for white trim. Presently, all the white on the windows fights with the thin, yellow trim. I'd remove the fence thing at the entry. It does nothing for curb appeal, I doubt it's useful. You have a lot of opportunity for improved curb appeal with landscaping. I'd remove the planter on the right corner and put in a small tree that will be taller than your house. That will soften the boxy lines. You want it slightly forward and far enough away that the mature size won't be a problem. I'd put a small palm in the semicircle garden. I'm no expert on what grows in your zone, but Elephant ears and Canna will bring an instant tropical vibe. They both come with plain green leaves, and can be bought at any nursery as a corm or tuber. Look up landscaping in Search Houzz. Pick your metro area from the drop-down menu at the top and choose photos. Here's one from Orlando (I guessed where you are). Not the most inspired, but certainly a decent model to copy if you want a plan

I'm far from zone 7b, but I'll make a couple of comments. In the first pic, the rose isn't planted deep enough, since you can see the roots. You should probably dig it up and plant it deeper, paticularly since you only planted it 2 weeks ago. In the second pic, the primary issue is probably lack of water causing the new growth to wilt. Both the second and third pics show the lack of water on the new growth, but also perhaps fertilizer burn (did you fertilize?) or maybe sunburn on the tips of the leaves. Also, the white spots in the leaves are from sawfly larvae ("rose slugs"), which are tiny larvae that eat from the bottom of the leaf, eventually causing holes. My number one suggestion is to water them more, asap, then proceed.
