Do you know which paint was used by the factory? It should be listed somewhere, no? If you tell your BM dealer, they should have the conversions to all major lines in their system. When I was remodeling our bathrooms, I had some paint expert visually match the Cabinet Coat tint to the wall color. Their result was different from what ACE Hardware (who carries CC in my area) had in their system. I think it was a mistake and I should have gone with the computer-matched tint as the cabinets turned out much lighter than the walls. GL!

If the sheetrock meets the ceiling, you can caulk that joint with firestop caulking to achieve the results that mac mentions. It's easier and not messy. Michael

What you show in the first picture seems more accurate and fitting to a 1949 house than the picture Kim posted. Keep it small and simple if you are replacing because it is in bad repair. Keep it as is if it is not broken to stay true to the house's history.
