command picture hanging strips

I was hanging a lot of pictures recently and found that I could cut the command strips lengthwise and make more this way. Be sure that each piece has some of the tab for removing it. These things are expensive and now are half the price for me!

Thanks for the tip. I have a general money saving philosophy - will half (or less) as much do, and it usually can. That philosophy can be put into practice for more things than we realize, along with your nifty tip about command strips.

My favorite hangers are the Command Picture Hanging Strips. by 3m I used them in my office at work to hang a very heavy picture and when I moved offices I took them off the wall with no problem. The trick is to pull the tab straight down. Also good are the Hercules Hooks. We have 2 heavy batroom mirrors hung with those. Here is a link that might be useful: hercules hooks

Art wall too high?

A longer piece of art or making the current statement more central would work. However, the larger painting 'Evening on the Water Wall Art' is beautiful! The scale of the painting would fit perfectly. Also, dressing the top of the cabinet with accents and ornaments, would pull the wall together. It doesn't have to be much, less is more.
