The AeroGarden is just a light setup that uses a specialized fluorescent bulb. Here are my thoughts based on what I've seen from your link... The pros... -it incorporates an aeroponic (a type of hydroponics system) at the base, so you don't have to play around with dirt; helps to keep area clean. -it looks nice. -easy way to play with a hydroponics system. -easy to grow... just add water & nutrients once in a while -It'll work The cons... -special bulbs mean that you'll have to rely on them for replacements, so if they ever go under... -expensive bulb replacement; $19.95 ea. -nutrients will cost you $14.94 every 3 months (you can't use regular fertilizer since it's a hydroponic system) -whole system is expensive T5 lights are one of the latest lights out there and are very efficient. I only recomended the T8 to you on the other thread because they are usually more common. In terms of efficiency, the difference between T5's and T8's are pretty close, but T5 replacement bulbs tend to be more expensive because they are newer. If T5's are whats available in your area, then go with it. =)

Slinky, that's too bad that you only have today and you're probably busy packing! I am in the "beginning stages" of thinking about a new tree this year. I really liked the new tree from Bethelehem Lights. All of the things that bug me about setting up a tree are addressed with the new technology. So I decided to wait until they offered the November 1st shipping. Well, when I turned it back on to see if they had sold enough for that shipping date yet, they were all gone! The 6.5 ft trees are wait list only, but on tv they are actually saying they won't be available at all before Christmas, and 7 ft is just too tall for my living room. Oh well :( I did order the Bethelem Lights sled filled with greens, led prelit, battery operated on a timer. It will be perfect for the table on my staircase landing that is by a window, but no plug. I also ordered the Bethelem Lights pre lit battery operated garland on timer. I had purchased the garland from JC Penny's last year, but it just was not comparable to Bethelem Lights at all. I'll probably mix it in with Bethelehem Lights. The battery operated stuff from Bethelehem Lights has worked GREAT for my so far. I've never had to change the batteries, and I decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving and leave it up the mid-January.

I got my mom the Technique hard anodized (a set) for Christmas last year and she loves it. I have cooked at her home a few times since then and it really is nice cookware. I have one pan of the Cooks Essentials Stainless 500. Don't waste your money on that stuff, it is thin and flimsy--but the hard anodized is nice --especially for the price. It does need to be hand washed--that is the recommendation. Look at the Temptations presentable stoneware for her as well. I have some of this, pretty and really nice to use. Congrats on the new home.

I like thick crust... Sicilian Pizza? Reminds me of a fishing/party boat I went out on one day.. sort of rough seas that day. The guy that arranged the party/charter had kegs of beer and lots and lots of sort of plain Sicilian Pizza's. I was an avid boater, and another distant friend was there ..he was a boater. We always said hi on the boat radio's and compared notes.. what we were catching and where. Rough seas on that party boat, Gulf of Mexico offshore fishing...a whole lot of people paid a little bit of money each for this 'party'. It was very rough water, boat rolling not only side to side but climbing and crashing waves too while just trying to be stationary... My friend and I were the only two fishing, and the only two that were not leaning over the rails being sick :) Wow we had lots of pizza available.. everybody on that boat was sick but us two and the crew. It was kind of funny to us. People sort of crowding the restroom area, trying to wobble and stumble into the 'head' then you got to watch them fly out when the boat rolled the other way :) That was the best Sicilian Pizza I ever have had, just plain thick with sauce.
