Can you please explain this to me, or suggest where I can get a pattern? I saw it on a show in passing and thought it was really cool, but did not see how to do it. Thanks

I had seen this on Carol Duvall a while back but I don't remember how it was done but they looked really great when finished and it was easy to do. sorry I can't be more helpful!

I can figure out how to do the photos but what I cannot figure out is the easiest way to make or obtain a pattern to use (a kalidoscope coluzzle would be nice), and unless there is something that you can use to trace the pattern onto the picture (so you are sure to have each picture positioned correctly)....something that will wipe off, how to use a pattern. I have alot of downloaded kalidoscope quilt patterns that would look great for this project..but how to put the pattern onto the photo for cutting without ruining the photo is my question.

I just saw a GREAT book about this at A.C. Moore's crafts store. Do you have one near you? Michael's might have it too.

I used a compass to mark my pictures and then used triangles and drew the cutting lines right on the front of the photos using a CM wax pencil. After cutting, I just wiped them clean. This worked great!

Any More recent on this.....Mabey a layout page for one!!! sure would be wonderful..a program that does it somewhat or template...Paulenea

Awesome!!What type of pictures do you think works best for the kaleidoscope? I would like to look through some of my favorites. Is your finished 12 x12 or 81/2 by 11?

The best type of pictures have lots of geometric detail (like the colors in the water in this one). This finished product is 8 1/2 x 11. I plan to do a 12 x 12 one and frame it. Still trying to get the perfect picture for it though.
