Don't want to use paper plates for your St. Pat Party?
Comments (19)Nope. If they did have them, they're all gone now. Well, it was fun going there again. I know that I'll start visiting there regularly now that I know the fastest route to the place. They had a very poor section of St. Patrick things too. Said they wouldn't be getting any more in. It isn't even March yet, and they won't be getting in any more St. Patrick's stuff! Nuts to that. I also looked in the Mardi Gras section. Nothing on sale there. Did get four plaster-like crowns that were 50% off. Three were bright pink and one black. I plan to spray them gold and use them on next year's Mardi Gras table....See Moreuseful to have hafele base plates in _all_ drawers?
Comments (8)I would only put them in a few drawers initially. Later, if you find you could use more drawers with that kind of divider, it seems you could retro-fit the drawers. I was planning on adding dividers to my dish drawer later, but used non-skid mats as a temporary solution and have had no problems, so I will just leave things as they are. My drawers are 30" wide and 11" deep. I had also looked at the Ikea plate dividers but decided their sizes would be too restrictive and at about $10 each times 6 stacks, they would be almost as expensive as the Hafele....See MoreStorage of paper plates, cups etc
Comments (24)They are with the picnic/potluck/party stuff in a spare room closet. I like themed party ware for grand kids and my Red Hat group so I pick patterns that catch my eye on sale. I keep various insulated carriers and picnic totes there also. I have over sized plastic shoebox type bins dedicated to certain holidays I have labeled. Those hold holiday cookie cutters, cake toppers, cupcake liners/wrappers, treat bags etc. along with the plates, napkins etc. for that theme. They stack nicely on a shelf. We don't use everyday paper things other than paper towels and plain napkins. Not even for when we grill outdoors....See MoreWhat do you re-use that you think most people do not?
Comments (143)I save all plastic bags and give them to my sister to crochet mats for the homeless. She can use any that's he can cut loops out of including toilet paper ones if you open the ends instead of tearing down the side. I takes 5 or 600 bags to make one mat. she can also use dry cleaning bags, .like I said it would be any cylindrical bags. The mats are 6 ft long and 2 1/2 feet wide and have a carrying handle and loops to hold them together when they carry them. I save bread bags. I use those for all kinds of things. I guess o got that from my DM. I have just started using worn out socks for rags. My DH goes through socks fast. I use single slippers for on my Swiffer. I saved the bottom part of my old litter box and cleaned it up really good and use that for soaking clothes in OXy CLean. I also save twisty ties. I have some of those nut jars too. Mine had fruit in them at the restaurants I cooked at. Here is the big one. I save almost all of the glass jars that I get. I use them for canning. If they have the rubber inside of the lid they work. I like the small ones, so if I want to give something to somebody They don't have to return the jar. I always make pickled beets and give some away. I boil the lids just like I would Kerr or Ball lids and fill the jars and screw them on tight. I had one jar that wouldn't work once because the lid wouldn't tighten. It just kept turning. I just made sure I used that one first. then I threw it away. I also put other things in them...See Morewestern_pa_luann
