Spike...thank you, thank you for this site. I love scrapbooking!!!!

I'm fairly new at scrapbooking, but the weirdest thing I ever put in the one I'm working on is all the funny poses I take of my fiance. He will do just about anything I ask, and we have some really cute pictures.

At least now we can read the plan with measurements . We need to know where you are , what is North on the plan and for me natural light in bedrooms is the last issue I deal with since most of my time in there is at night so need to know which direction .THis is aone storey house so where do the stairs lead ? The 2 small bedrooms are very small so some clue as to how many people live here . I do agree bathrooms are expensive so shared plumbing wall when possible are good they also give you some privacy between bedrooms . I do not really have an issue with a hall leading to the living space past bedrooms since the doorways to the bedrooms are not obvious the laudry spaces are puzzle . I think the master bedroom is okay as it is not sure what you want to improve there other than it is quite large but need mor einfo about that size .Natural light comes with windows so where are they ?We definately need to see the exterior plan too and understand the placement of windows .

I think the simple act of uttering the words ”Thank you” for a simple courtesy extended to me by a perfect stranger shows civility and respect. Their act of thoughtfulness to a stranger (me) provides a pleasant spot in my day and I do expect some kind of acknowledgement from the person I thanked - a verbal reply or simply a quick smile. I do make a special effort to thank a child or younger person who has done something for me - held a door, picked up a dropped item etc. I also make an effort to extend these small courtesies to strangers and also to people who have provided exemplary customer service to me in the course of ’just doing the job they’re being paid for’. It takes so little effort to behave politely and make another person’s day just a bit brighter.

Last summer we were gifted a bag of raw wool from our friend's daughter's sheep - hadn't really known it was useful in the garden, but now I've googled and some say it deters the slugs... A few years ago I began noticing a larger population of black beetles in my garden, I see them all over the place and (unfortunately) they occasionally get in the house .... but I read that they eat slugs... so I got curious how to encourage them and found this : https://www.vermontpublic.org/show/all-things-gardening/2024-05-26/with-beer-wool-and-seashells-you-can-deter-slugs-from-taking-over-your-garden from the article: A "beetle bank” is another inventive idea to try. Essentially, it's a circular raised bed, measuring about 4 feet in diameter and a foot or so tall. Inside that raised bed, plant a selection of bunching grasses like bluestems and sea grasses. These types of plants attract the black ground beetle, which is a voracious eater of slugs and snails. The beetles hide in the tall grasses of your "beetle bank" during the day and once night falls, they go slug and snail hunting! Anyway, you have my sympathies ! I've seen 3 tree frogs this year, so I'm hoping there are lots more out their finding a feast. My slugs don't usually show up in force until July, so time will tell what kind of year I have. One of the benefits of a chilly spring Editing to say: I meant wood frogs, the only frog in Alaska

The weirdest thing I ever put in a scrapbook? We went to France year before last, and when we got home, I posed all the souvenirs in a group on our couch and took pictures of them! They have their own 2-page spread in my France scrapbook!

Thanks Spike! You are a winner.

I had to put purchased postcards in our travel album after our camera was stolen in Peru.

The weirdest thing I ever put in a scrapebook was toilet paper from Russia. If you ever felt it you would know why I saved it and did not use it. Thanks, from Texas

The funniest thing in my album is the "peanut packages" from the airplane snacks on our first plane ride...it was to Disney World. Just had to keep those cute little packages. :*)

I do albums for my two sons, ages 5 and 9. You wanna hear weird!?!? Both boys are bug crazy!! I have many many pages with pictures of them holding creepy crawlies. We have a cottage where the boys find lots for us to photograph, including HUGE dock spiders. One poor unfortunate spider....(I can't believe I am telling you this..) actually found himself pressed and mounted inside a little platic cover in my youngest sons album. Its his favourite page! YUCK!!!!!
Now, THATS weird!

Well, I gotta admit the spider is really a weird thing to end up in a scrapbook. The weirdest layout I did was after we had a really big storm 2 yrs ago - and I went around afterwards taking pictures. I found this chiropratic office that had a HUGE sign in the front (had is the word here).
The sign was bent over double from the storm and needed an adjustment LOL! The layout had this picture plus gas pumps laying on their side tore out of their spot, a chest freezer sitting in a ditch, and a railroad sign that had corrugated roofing wrapped around the pole. Anyway, the chiropractic picture is my favorite.

weirdest thing... a tiny lizard jumped into our vehicle as we were packing up from Sanibel Island and we found him as we were unpacking at home... dried up and preserved. so he is proudly displayed in a baggy in our album...
