What's the wierdest thing you ever put in a scrapbook?

Spike...thank you, thank you for this site. I love scrapbooking!!!!

I'm fairly new at scrapbooking, but the weirdest thing I ever put in the one I'm working on is all the funny poses I take of my fiance. He will do just about anything I ask, and we have some really cute pictures.

I had a mat, but the chipmunk who lives in our shrubbery decided to eat it. I don't know where the little beastie put all the mat; he must have welcomed some of his rodent friends over for the feast.

Check into Accoya real wood products. Its a pickled wood and that non-toxic process makes it impervious to termites and water. I used their dyed gray wood so when you cut it, the color is through out, so you can lightly sand any scratches that may happen. It never needs treating, staining, painting or maintenance with a 50 yr warranty. It will always be gray. Here it is on my house. It's one of my favorite things on my remodel.

I think it's a good idea painting the closet doors a crisp white. The blue around the perimeter of the floor space limits your color scheme to blue and white or blue and yellow, so I would look for a nice area rug that you can place on the floor to cover that. I would also check out thrift stores for finds on furniture pieces that can be repainted to suit your tastes. Also, you may be able to find a nice throw, wicker baskets, ornaments, small lamps or even floor lamps there. I have saved a bundle by shopping at thrift stores and refurbishing the pieces. Have you considered a sleep sofa or a futon so that you can pull out the sleeper sofa. Futons are sold at Walmart for about 270 dollars and look nice. An inexpensive way to pull together a really attractive space can be done with paint.

@emmarene9 here are a few ideas we are considering. We are leaning towards a stained fibreglass with sidelites that are all the same "stained" type of look (whether fibreglass or not). Mostly just trying to nail the design at this point, as well as, any feedback on potentially having the side lites as solid wood vs the same fibreglass as the door. I've attempted some imperfect "cut and paste" examples below. : ) We also have "6 panel" style coat closet doors on the opposite interior side so wondering how much design liberty there is in veering from that (my least favorite exterior door design is the 6 panel). The weirdest thing I ever put in a scrapbook? We went to France year before last, and when we got home, I posed all the souvenirs in a group on our couch and took pictures of them! They have their own 2-page spread in my France scrapbook!

The weirdest thing in my scrapebook, nothing!! I just started with this, but I am sure that I will put something in someday strange. I'll let you know when I do.

The weirdest thing I ever put in a scrapebook was toilet paper from Russia. If you ever felt it you would know why I saved it and did not use it. Thanks, from Texas

The funniest thing in my album is the "peanut packages" from the airplane snacks on our first plane ride...it was to Disney World. Just had to keep those cute little packages. :*)

I do albums for my two sons, ages 5 and 9. You wanna hear weird!?!? Both boys are bug crazy!! I have many many pages with pictures of them holding creepy crawlies. We have a cottage where the boys find lots for us to photograph, including HUGE dock spiders. One poor unfortunate spider....(I can't believe I am telling you this..) actually found himself pressed and mounted inside a little platic cover in my youngest sons album. Its his favourite page! YUCK!!!!!

Well, I gotta admit the spider is really a weird thing to end up in a scrapbook. The weirdest layout I did was after we had a really big storm 2 yrs ago - and I went around afterwards taking pictures. I found this chiropratic office that had a HUGE sign in the front (had is the word here).
The sign was bent over double from the storm and needed an adjustment LOL! The layout had this picture plus gas pumps laying on their side tore out of their spot, a chest freezer sitting in a ditch, and a railroad sign that had corrugated roofing wrapped around the pole. Anyway, the chiropractic picture is my favorite.

weirdest thing... a tiny lizard jumped into our vehicle as we were packing up from Sanibel Island and we found him as we were unpacking at home... dried up and preserved. so he is proudly displayed in a baggy in our album...
