I went to a Hobby Lobby near Phoenix today. You are right, all remaining Christmas is 90% off. If you can use a new wreath or some garland, there were still several nice ones that had been priced quite high. Most ornaments are broken, there were a few silver garland cone trees left. I got some greenery, a couple of red berry candle rings and two spools of red/green/white ribbon. However, you might like to know that their Valentines wall decor is all 50% off. I got a cute little wall plaque. Unless you are buying things that have been discounted like this, many items seemed pretty high to me--more so than when I've visited their stores in the past. For example, apothocary jars I've seen at Home Goods for $12.99 were $17.00 and some pretty rooster plates were $11.99 each! They also had the plastic chargers in gold, silver and red for $1.99 each--same thing in a box of four at Walmart before Christmas was only $6.00. Just gotta know your prices no matter where you shop I guess. They really do have a really nice selection, and I enjoyed getting to go today. Anyone else gone there to find any bargains? Luvs

I was in there on Tuesday afternoon and there were almost no Halloween decs left. Heck, they were almost out of Thanksgiving decs, too! I'm headed to another one today to ~ hopefully~ find a few last things for my Thanksgiving table. BTW, many of their Christmas decs were 50% off this week. I'm really grateful that we have three HL's in the greater Albuqueruqe area alone. Lynn

Okay, this is not good. A long time fan of anything Sculpey, this means bad news for me. I can't resist! Glass gems. I confess, I have two big plastic tubs in the shed full of them, can't help myself when they go on sale. And to think, I have to drive by a Hobby Lobby to get home from work. Heh heh! Charms. I don't think I've purchased a single item over $110 in years. Yesterday I bought a $189 chocolate wool pea coat for around $50 after promos, coupons and discounts. Woo. I think I'd have to save a lot more money than a little sales tax to deal with NJ drivers ;). I am guessing the 66% off is more of a 2/3 thing than a biblical thing. I don't think the 30/40/50% discounts they have on other stuff is anything significant. BTW I don't think anyone was saying they didn't support it because it was christian - I think they don't support it because they support a particular person who happens to be a christian who they don't wish to support. There is a big difference.
