@tropicalgrower: yes, mangos can be airlayered, but i think only in tropical places with humid climate. as far as i know, it is the usual propagation method in thailand. over here, mangos are grafted, like in u.s. @kobe: all my syzygiums are growing very fast! i also have s. samarangense and s. jambos. i bought my black zapote from a german online store. i think they brought them from florida. @jay: it would be great if i could be the whole time there, but due to work it is not possible in mid term. many of the plants i did propagate in germany, so i know how hard it is to grow those tropicals without a 'decent' climate. i have enormous respect for what you are doing in ohio! on the other hand, would you consider moving to thailand? @msk: i don't know which nam dok mai they are offering, but i think any nam dok mai would be very cool :-) i'm wondering how the fruits of my tree will taste, growing in a hot and dry climate. i didn't get to try the fruits last summer, because i was not on the island and my father didn't check the tree.. i don't know the differences betweet gomera 1 and 3. i fact i don't know which rootstocks i currentla have. i will ask... @adiel: in summer the fruit trees are irrigated 3-4 times a week and in winter, as long as it does not rain, only once or twice a week.

I believed he knew what he was doing until I started to see things or hear what he was going to do. I also went to the Hardie website previous and realized he was not follow instructions. He is actually a very nice person but social has nothing to do with it anymore, now this is business and a lot of my money. I paid him a large deposit for supplies already and he has the tile in his possession that I also already paid for. But i went to the site you said John Bridge. They told me to stop the job. I did . I confronted him we discussed it. He agreed to remove it and absorb the loss. After I explained my situation and the condition of floor they told me about 'deflection' and now that is where I am. Job is on hold I am looking for a carpenter to look at the joists underneath. Plus I am scraping off the motor of the Hardi that was left behind. I am at a standstill right now. Dont know what is coming or what to expect. NOt one installer even mentioned anything about weight or joists or deflection of any kind. So i think if it wasn't this one it would have been any of the others i guess. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

The disgusting root system is the result of abnormal winter rainfall. This is an orchid that takes ages to get to flowering size from small divisions. Below is a useful link from OSCOV in Victoria. You have to find a spot to hang the plant so that it gets more sun in winter and is protected from hot afternoon sun in summer. At the spring orchid shows large specimen plants are seen covered in flowers, the plants are grown by potting on rather than repotting, not sure how you do that without major disturbance to the root system.
