"I water it weekly with orchid fertilizer" What kind of fertilizer? Dens don't like a lot of nitrogen. I use Dyna-Gro Bloom year round and cut back after August and don't resume until after blooming is over. "I repotted twice in orchid mix to keep up with the growth" Dens dislike having they're roots disturbed. They bloom much better with extremely tight shoes--with the roots coming out over the top and through the drainage holes. If you must, just pot them up into a larger pot without disturbing the roots. Don't worry about deteriorating media in the root ball. I think they devour it, because there is never much left when I go to repot, the roots are such a mass. The south window light is good. I grow mine in a chilly west window in the fall and winter, and outside in the spring and summer with as much sun as it will take. It stays out until the night temps drop considerably. The Golden Aya gets a complete dry rest from Thanksgiving until Christmas, then it gets baby sips of water until the spikes emerge. When the spikes get larger the plant gets a bit more water.

I'm really not a complainer, and have bought alot of rare bamboo on eBay and the internet. Sure, you get some that don't make it from time to time, even though boo is quite hardy. That's part of the fun. I revived a CandyCane that got beat up in the mail and was nothing but a dead stalk with no leaves at all. The seller Blackledge Bamboo even refunded my money. Lo and behold after much loving care and tenderness it just shooted last month and is now beautiful. Needless to say, I just sent him back the money he refunded to me. Now that is a good boo seller. But when one misrepresents and makes false statements about a boo, puts on a wrong shipping address, then agrees to replace the dead boo with a live one when its available, then tells the purchaser that he is only trying to cheat him, well, that is what I refer to as morally bankrupt. Especially when I went so far as to send him my UPS Shipping Number so he would not incur any shipping expenses for the replacement. I love many of the finds pictured here. I live in an economically depressed, rural area, and most of Craigslist is uninspiring and often unintentionally funny. Some people have big ideas about what their junk is worth! We've done well in the Farm & Garden section, however, both buying and selling. This summer I acquired a riding mower for $375 delivered. The owner is a mechanic (turned out he retired from the company my son works for), and the mower was well cared for. But mostly I came back here to thank My3dogs for starting this thread. As soon as I saw the title, I remembered that it had been awhile since I last checked Craigslist for a cedar wardrobe. My house is very old, and has almost no closets. I've been keeping my various jackets in an ancient but worthless wardrobe that is ready to fall apart, so I've been looking for a good replacement for about a year. Most of the ones listed had no bar for hanging clothes, and were overpriced anyway. So I saw your thread and went directly to Craigslist, where I found the perfect cedar wardrobe: just the right size, with a bar inside the top and a nice drawer on the bottom--for $75!
