there aren't any new washers or dryers, FL or TL, that will last 20 years anymore. they are purposely made to self destruct or some such thing in about 7-8 years. seriously! it's really awful.IMO, that's an exaggeration, although "robustness" isn't what it used to be. The Whirlpool washer my parents bought new in January 1962 was replaced in June 1976 (14.5 years), and had numerous repairs, including replacement of the bearings TWICE. The Whirlpool replacement ran for 18 years, with *fewer* repairs, and the bearings *never* changed. The KitchenAid that came next in 1994 has had two repairs thus far, neither one considered major ... we also recently replaced the pump (which had not yet failed but was getting iffy), and did some rust-treatment on the cabinet. I realize these examples are not quite equivalent to a new machine bought today, but it perhaps illustrates that newer machines (as compared to "older" ones) don't necessarily equal more trouble. I have a Fisher & Paykel GWL08 bought in 1999 (8 years old now) that's still going strong with no repairs needed.

First -- start with basic questions: 1) How do you want to use the room?? Entertaining, reading, TV, etc. 2) How do you want the room to "feel" -- cozy/warm? cool/fresh/contemporary? sophisticated? 3) List any problems with the basic room! Dark? Light? Cold? Too warm? Storage needs? Eletrical outlet placement? Cable placement? etc. 4) Research and Development Phase: After answering those questions -- head out to the local bookstore and go through decor books and magazines. Really look at rooms -- why does THAT room appeal to you? Look again! The type(s) of seating? The tables? Paint colors? Buy a few magazines that appeal to you -- and rip out those pages -- and keep those in your decorating notebook. Check the web -- and print out photos of rooms that appeal too! 5) Measure, measure, measure. Measure the room in all directions. Measure the windows and doors (and any hallways that lead into the room!) Measure any features like fireplaces or closets. NOTE where the electrical outlets and cables are located. 6) NOW start to research some choices -- sofa and loveseat? sofa, loveseat and chairs? bookcases? tables? A lot of manufacturers claim one coat coverage but that is really just marketing. Whether a paint covers in one coat or not really depends a lot on the color itself, so it's all really just a big fat lie. If you are using a washable paint, two coats is what would be required anyway for the proper film build. If you don't apply a full two coats, you may end up with an uneven sheen when you look down the walls and your washability/durability will suffer. The only time I would even consider trying for one coat is if the color is close and the paint is flat...washables always get two.

yes if you have wireless in your home through a router which it sounds like you do then you have wifi that is all wifi is a wireless network connection no matter where it happens to be located. 4G is a term associated with cellular networks it is supposed to be the fastest protocol at the moment but it is not available every where so you may ask for 4G and pay for 4G but you may not get 4G you will get what ever band is available in the area you are in and in some areas if there is no coverage by that cellular network then you may not have any connection. you will have to have a cellular data plan to be able to use the 4G ability on the tablet, that will be a monthly fee with some cellular provider. I am not concerned with having that type of connection on my tablets I use mainly wifi connections. I do have a smartphone which does do all the tricks and does have a 4G plan including data so I can use my phone to access the internet where there are wifi networks available free or I can use the cellular data plan and access it through the cell towers if I am in a zone that has coverage. You will pay for that data on the cellular networks if you go over your allowed amount and it can really add up fast. So you just have to decide if you think you will use the 4G connection and if it is worth it to have to purchase a monthly plan to cover usage. I have no idea why it will cost $500 when the google nexus is so much cheaper and is a decent tablet. If it is going to be a 10 inch instead of the 7-8 inch that will be part of it. any cell company has a map you can look at that supposedly shows the coverage areas for the various bands like 4G 3 G etc.
