Eric, While I in no way consider myself an expert, I know enough about propagation to have some thoughts/questions/comments..... 1.You are using the term "cloning" pretty losely. I believe you are propagating "asexually" by cuttings. The chance of a branch sport or "deranged" genetic material has a much higher probability in what you are doing compared to say "tissue culture"...which is about the closest plant people have to "cloning". 2.In the shrub/tree/plant world, I have often heard propagators, who have been in the buisness for many years, comment on over a long period of time...a plant loses its vigor/root-ability and is more prone to propagation "issues". I have never seen work or research on this...but it is normally referanced to plants that are popular, produced in large numbers and have been around for many years (Weigela Java Red comes to mind). No consistancy to the comments...just a few species/cultivars here and there. But back to question/comment 1...the chance of changed genetic material is a lot higher in what you are doing. 3. It is hard, in my mind, to compare sexual-vs-asexual propagation and how it effects genetic material.....two different worlds and sciences. Schmoo

Here is the law in the State of Michigan Sec. 2014. - A person is subject to the penalties set forth in article 6 who commits 1 of the following: (a) Uses the term "architect", "professional engineer", "land surveyor", "professional surveyor", or a similar term in connection with the person's name unless the person is licensed in the appropriate practice under this article. (b) Presents or attempts to use as the person's own the license or seal of another. (c) Attempts to use an expired, suspended, or revoked license. (d) Uses the words "architecture", "professional engineering", "land surveying", "professional surveying", or a similar term in a firm name without authorization by the appropriate board. (e) Submits to a public official of this state or a political subdivision of this state for approval, a permit or a plan for filing as a public record, a specification, a report, or a land survey that does not bear 1 or more seals of a licensee as required by this article. This subdivision does not apply to a public work costing less than $15,000.00 or a residential building containing not more than 3,500 square feet of calculated floor area. As used in this subdivision, "calculated floor area" means that term as defined in section 2012(2)(a). What this means is that an unlicensed designer (who is not a member of an architectural firm) cannot design a house with more than 3,500 s.f of habitable area (gross area but doesn't include bathrooms, halls or storage rooms). That person also cannot use the term "architect" or any similar term ("architectural" is obviously similar) before of after their name. That person also cannot use the term "architecture" or any similar term ("architectural" is obviously similar) as part of their company name. The use of the terms "architect designer" to describe herself and "Architectural and Interior Design Services" to describe her company is clearly prohibited in the State of Michigan (as it is in the 8 states where I have practiced). I don't see how this person can give you much of an argument about letting you have the model. Just play dumb and tell her you are going to ask the State Board of Registration if an "architectural designer" can refuse to let a client have a model. I think she will bring the model over within the hour with some flowers and perhaps a ham. If she doesn't, file a complaint and let justice prevail. We are installing a vent free heatilator in our new build also. The one the builder is putting in is a 46 inch. With the black surround. We went to the business he is ordering it from to get a look at the displays. The business owner said we could get the fake brick instead of the black if we wanted. Sounded like an option we could get. I don't remember what the cost was, but it didn't seem like a huge amt, I think we will go with that. He also said if we wanted the flame larger just turn up the gas. We thought if we were unhappy with the way the log fire looked, not realistic, We would just buy a better one later when we are not so broke from the build:)

Oh yes, you need an account to view the paper. For the most part the risk looked very low for the average user, if standing far enough away. The really concerning cases were in pregnancy where the stomach is just physically very close to the cooktop and it is unavoidable. Also children with their brains at a similar elevation standing right beside it. The heat map images of the bodies were scary. When making these appliances and certifying them, they were not considering a child's brain might be a few inches from the cooktop. I think it is just good to be aware of this and I imagine there will be future discoveries relating to pregnant users of induction stoves. Maybe similar to what we are seeing now with folks realizing gas combustion is not very good for IAQ. We just have to wait about 15 yrs for the research. Interesting about the rice cookers. We use an Instant Pot and will probably upgrade to a Breville multi-cooker eventually, I don't think these are induction. Thanks for your response, I am impressed with Wolf such that I would be happy to settle on the hood and not agonize any further over that selection. As per your recommendation, I called Wolf and: they don't provide fan curves anymore because the engineers got sick of people coming back trying to hold them accountable when there are so many installation variables that will determine the performance. Apparently I am the 2nd person to call this week looking for this info! Also not able to get any info on the pressure drop for the hood/baffles. A sad day indeed. So maybe it is best to go with the 900 CFM as you note and expect it might be ~ 600 CFM once installed on full speed. But who really knows how it will turn out! For 600 CFM got velocities of ~ 1,718 fpm in an 8" duct or ~ 1,110 fpm for 10" - we currently have 8" in our plans. Is it worth seeing if we can fit 10"? We will likely not be able to fit a silencer so I'm not sure how much of a noticeable benefit the larger duct would provide. Also, I'm sure we will use the fan on low speed usually so is there any issue with too-low velocity if we did the 10" ? Please enlighten me, what is the NMB? Since the MUA (or MAU apparently) on our spec sheet seems to be discontinued, I'll see what the engineer recommends. Especially if we go with this Wolf blower which is more powerful than they accounted for. That is another can of worms. The air is supplied to the hallway around the corner from the opening to the kitchen where the heater is (on the top right of the layout I shared). It seems more ideal directly to the kitchen but I don't see how that would be possible at this point. @Mark Bischak - I often have this thought haha, it would sure have been a lot easier than building!
