Curious about reusing SASBE
Comments (46)100 of a 6' X 9" is just $19.40 and that includes free shipping. That's a great price IMHO....less than 20 cents a piece, besides being a really nice size for sending numerous varieties and taping them down. Are there ebay sellers that are cheaper than that with the shipping included? I'm not concerned so much with thickness, so long as they are not huge bubbles that would throw an envy to a parcel rate with seeds included in it. Anything I mail is usually for numerous packs anyway...making it a large envy rate....a few HUGE giveaways go into the parcel rate. Sue...who occasionally has huge giveaways when she sees a newbie that needs some enabling.....evil laugh......See MoreLuAnn in PA, iPad/Pod non-game apps, long
Comments (2)Thanks Caroline I brought my iPod over to the laptop so I can add some non-games that I use. Utilities Apzilla 2 has all sorts of different utilities, most of them are worthwhile. Some you might never use. Even though Apzilla has it I also have MyLite (a flashlight) and a Free Level program. (a level for hanging pictures straight)and Free Space, a program that tells you how much room is left on your iPod and battery info. Capacity is another program that does this. Free Wi-Fi tells you when you travel where there is free wi-fi you can log into. 5-0 Radio Pro is a fun Police and Fire scanner so you can listen for any calls that come out in your city or even places in your country. My hearing isn't the best and sometimes the talking isn't too clear for me but it is fun listening to the information. It can run in the background. Shopwise is a program that tells you certain deals. I have World Atlas and Google Earth. Book Crawler is a program that lets you keep track of all of your books. iPlant is a gardening book that is quite good. For notes I use Awesome Notes. MyStuff2 is a neat inventory program I haven't used yet. I use IOwn and Iconic Notes, but I don't think either of those are available now. Someday I will transfer everything over. Ian's Laces as Caroline mentioned is fun but there also is a program called Tie a Scarf for women' scarves. Holiday List is also a great Christmas gift planner. AppSniper and AppShopper are two programs I use occasionally. They tell you the new programs that are out. A lot of programs are free for a short time before they start to charge and these programs as well as others will let you know this. I have a lot of medical programs and photography programs as well but this thread is getting long....See MoreDo Envelopes have bar-codes?
Comments (8)In our Canadian system, there is frequently a series of lines, usually light orange colour, similar to a bar code, that run across the lower right side of the envelope, about 3/8" up from the bottom. They tell the automatic routing machines through which channels to send that piece of mail in order to arrive at its designated destination. These are on letters addressed to me. Often I get letters asking for donations and they usually include a return envelope, no window, pre-addressed to the address of the sender (I'm not sure whether there's usually a bar code on them, but I think not) but they have a box at top right showing their post-paid information, including a number that the P.O. uses to calculate whom to bill for that letter. If you use an envelope with a return-postage-guaranteed envelope like that (usually with no window) and you cover up the origianl returnee's address to add one of your choice, you'll need to cover over the return postage box at the top right - a stamp will suffice. Thanks for reusing things - our trees are the replenishers of the world's oxygen, so deserve being preserved ... in their original form, that is, rather than being turned into envelopes. I developed a habit early on after entry into this world, to which I've become thoroughly addicted, called "breathing" ... and it's my earnest desirethat I should be able to continue to benefit from this addiction for some additional time. Actually, my farm-owner Dad, who suffered from pretty well chronic bronchitis and was developing incipient asthma, moved from this fairly humid and substantially polluted area over 60 years ago, to farm on the Prairies, and had 40 years of good health, in that drier, cleaner atmosphere. Good wishes for good health to you and your loved ones. ole joyful...See MoreJune FOTESS Swap - Summer School!
Comments (259)Hi Everyone, I'm finally home! And can I just say that coming thro Toledo on Interstate 75 was the same miserable experience it has always been. Never changes. These people need to work on their detour skills. Had a great visit with the granddaughters. My daughter and her husband just bought their first house, so there was a lot of packing, sorting, running back and forth going on! It's a nice little house in a great neighborhood, same school district and Tabitha is so excited - she gets to ride the school bus! Where they live now is only a block away from her school, so she had to walk. And I got to meet my grandcat, Aurora. Very pretty cat, American Tabby mix, quite nice and it only took her a couple of days to get used to me. Okay, let's take care of some swap stuff! First of all, a huge Thank You to Jeanne for covering for me. And at the last minute too. This visit was supposed to happen next weekend. Jeanne, I owe ya one! Thank you! Robin, Beth and Heidi, thanks for sharing the pics, your flower beds are just beautiful! Great Haiku, Robin! Congrats to Katie and Emily for guessing #s 2 and 5! Erica, how great it would be to walk out to my back yard and pick lemons! Margo, we got rain 3 nites in Kettering. The girls drew a picture of me with their chalk, on the sidewalk, and were really bummed that the rain washed it away! Breanne, so glad your sister had you to retreat to! Saying prayers for the flood victims. Melinda, hope all is going better for you. Please post when you receive. Here's an update on the Swap: Erica REC'D Katie REC'D Emily REC'D Margo REC'D Breanne REC'D Heidi REC'D Robin REC'D Beth REC'D Amber REC'D Amber sends to Melinda Amy REC'D Shirley REC'D Faye REC'D Okay, I'm going to finish unpacking and get some dinner.
