It has a backup should the overflow holes get clogged. The channel around the rim is also connected to the overflow drain. In theory, the water level can only get as high as the rim. With that, however, a portion of the 1.28 gallons goes down the overflow drain without reaching the bowl with every flush. Of the critical review I've seen, it doesn't flush well. I thought he might have been dead, breenthumb, but he moved his fin and head yesterday. This morning when I brought the post up to the top, there were 2 men in there with them. To the right of the ice and snow there is sand, where the men and some of the penguins were. I would hope that if this penguin were injured they would have seen it by now.

Not to be catty, but ... ... I was thinking that, what with vestigial wings ... and rather blunt beaks, and all ... ... that it was going to be quite a job for the survivors to dig a hole deep enough in the ice (have you tried digging a hole in ice with your beak?) to get the poor deceased below the surface, let alone deep enough to throw a lot of the dug stuff in on top of him/her. In our area, there's been quite a fuss made about a couple of male penguins who'd become fast friends having been split up and stuck in with a couple of females, with a view to procreation, what with it taking a long time for penguin chicks to become adults ... and this type being darn near at risk/endangered. ole joyful ... who, also, was mightily taken in (not by just a whisker) by this cat

It's a good thing you know what you're doing, as in, not needing good quilting instructions. It's really cute. I love how you incorporate homespuns/plaids into quilts. You made one with appliqued stars a few years ago that I really liked. When I made it, I'm calling mine Primitive Stars. Blocks were made a long time ago and there they sit. lol But, I still love it. :-)
