I planted 2 Pegasus own-root specimens in my garden around 2 years ago. They are now fountain-shaped plants, with arching canes around 6-7 feet long; the plant is around 5 feet high and 6 feet across. It is growing more widely than had anticipated, so I will need to relocate 2 Ruth Clements plants. There are blooms all along the upper parts of the canes, where the angle of the canes change from 45 degrees to horizontal. The flowers are in clusters of 3-5 flowers each. This year the flowers are up to 4 inches across. I do not recall seeing any disease on the leaves of these 2 plants. The repeat is not as fast as I would like, but that may be due that fact that they are not dead-headed as promptly as they should be.

I grow an old, 1984 Austin that I rarely see mentioned - Bredon. It is in a pot and still spindly but I hope to get it plumped up and more eager to grow. Same situation with Sir Edward Elgar, bred in 1991. Also have Cressida, 2 Lillian Austins, 4 Belle Storeys. Am babying these along, hoping they will become more robust. Even if they don't, glad to have them and hope they will survive. Have 2 of Charles Austin - these are robust plants with long canes. The blooms, sparse though they are, are a beautiful apricot. I am starting my bathroom re-hab journey. I know I need a vanity. Granite maybe out of my budget. In need something that will stand up to mild bleach solution. I am germ freak. What I have now has stood up to my phobia. I'm not sure what the material is but it's tough. Got it at some closout store about 15 years ago. I'm sure it's a composite. Sorry, back to my question. Is Pegasus real granite. I'm getting from the reading it's a composite. It sure is pretty. I am meeting with a fabricator this weekend he said something about checking th remnants. I'm up for that. He said he has some high end products that could be a possibility in my budget.

I feel I'm probably going to be in the minority. There are people here who are very serious about their toilets. So, I should preface this by saying that I have modest expectations for my toilets. 1. I expect them to flush without clogging or having to double flush except on rare occasion and 2. they can't be ugly (which I realize is personal opinion). We've used Kohler in the remodel of our powder room and master bathroom if that is any indication of our standard. About five years ago our first major home project was to finish our basement. It was not plumbed and adding all the plumbing for a full bath was a major expense. By the time we got to purchasing fixtures for the bathroom, we were on a super tight budget. I really liked the Kohler Memoirs pedestal sink, but it was a little smaller than we wanted. At the time, Pegasus had a very similar pedestal sink that was wider with more room around the edges for holding hand soap, etc. and at a lower price. We went with the Pegasus pedestal sink and coordinating toilet. We've had them for five years and I've been pleased with them. Recently my husband did have to replace the flush valve in the toilet, but he was able to easily do it himself for less than $10. They aren't the nicest ones I've ever seen, but they have functioned well, look nice in my opinion, and were a better budget option.
