- Cobaea Scandens It's a tropical plant, and if it's from the warm tropipcs and not the cool mountains, it should do OK - Rhodochiton atrosanguineus Barely makes it in Phoenix AZ because of our frost episodes in winter. Might need winter protection. - Maurandya 'Magic Dragon' Grows in Phoenix AZ, and we are hotter and dryer than your area. ========== Your winters might be too cool for them without some sort of protection.

Mango kush... I was reading some things on the internet about breadfruit, and with protection, they can grow to a pretty nice size in southern florida (as long as something like this past winter doesnt happen again for a long time). Some looked like they were almost fruiting size, but Ive never heard of one actually fruiting. If I lived in Southern Florida, breadfruits would definitely be on my list of tender plants to try. Good luck, hope it works out well! I found a really hot sunny spot to put mine that is also very humid, so it should grow really well (at least until it goes inside for the winter). I figure I have from may until about early (maybe mid) october for my breadfruit to go outside because temps rarely go in the 40s at night in that time period. Then while indoors Im going to mist it often and keep it by my sunniest window away from the heat Thanks for your comments and help, I cant wait until it comes in the mail!

Mother's day has come and gone... so should this thread! I am struggling with some of the statements. I justified the reference to our levels of earnings by saying that most of the stuff that we buy using "credit" cards isn't deductible, so using them isn't going to increase our amount of after-tax cash on hand, which will have an impact on our pre-tax income, as well. Almost none of the things we buy are tax deductible, so this is simply not relevant... because it doesn't change between the alternatives. The only way this becomes relevant is if you are taking money out of your traditional IRA to use for interest payments... So the entire before tax / after tax logic pretzel only works for one specific thing that is not mentioned in the original post. Next, a 28% credit card rate is not equal to a 28% savings rate. This is the difference between compounding interest and effective interest. Even though the two are calculated the exact same way, and compounding is a type of effective, compounding grows but effective interest can shrink. Credit cards are basically rolling installment loans with an 8 year and 4 month payback and no early payment penalty. So the total interest you pay on a $5,000 purchase would be $5,892 over 8.33 years. People will often struggle to convert avoidable interest to investment returns, and most people shouldn't need to do this. The easiest way to do so is by using a version of the Modigliani-Miller theorem. If you want to equate a loan into an investment, then just hypothetically use the loan to purchase the investment and find the interest rate where the total payments on the loan = the total return of the investment. The equivalent investment rate of a 28% credit card, is 9.38%. However, if you are not working with the capital structure of a business, that is pretty useless information. Unless you are borrowing to invest, you should just avoid equating loans to investments. It isn't going to provide useful information. ---- Math questions are best solved with math and not an application of some vague wisdom. Interest is not that hard to calculate, so learn to calculate it. There are times when using your credit card is wise and there are times when it is not. Generally speaking though, balances on high interest credit cards are a symptom of another problem. Typically, either frivolous spending or insufficient income. So, if you can, work on that problem first and the credit card problem tends to fix itself.

OK Urlee - Sue has the right idea. Write a tut for us and we'll see if we can follow it. I think that is awesome! I'm sooo stupid with animation. Maybe you can lead us through the maze (but you've got your work cut out). I'd sure like to understand animation like you do!

Seriously, I hope I know what I did cause I'd like to do it again on something.
Really took me awhile to finally get it to look that way.
I want to practice to see if I can do it better but that is a lot of work. I have to recup yet from that one!

I just woke up fresh this morning with an idea that could help a little on the making of this animation.
The thought of Making a tutorial----- I am speaking from the time you make a still bird flap it's wings, to making a background move, to placing your logo on it, completely floored me.
The bird flapping would be toooo stressful to figure just how to write it up cause it's a trial & error, trying to get the wings just right and in place.
But------I could see if I could write one on making the background move, but------at a later date because it will take some figuring and is time consuming and with the holidays approaching, I have to get my cards made for Christmas etc.
If you know me, I have to make a project out of card making.
Just for an example of something I am using, which you know, involves steps that "take figuring & time", each one personalized of course looky this.
