Shrubs will establish best in the cool, wet weather of spring. Frost has no meaning for them unless, as the previous poster mentioned, they have not been hardened off or have been shipped from a more southern zone and the leaves are way ahead of where they would be if they had been growing in your zone. I still would put them out and protect them if you have frost. As for perennials, I (zone 5b) start dividing them in late April and through March as soon as I can see them. If they're up, they're ready for it.

Deb lol, no it was after one of those rare rare rain drizzles we had last fall lol. Your eyes are ok they are just in the wrong season rofl. Barb thanks. It is not me being a good gardener. It is them being good plants and good nature to ME. Daniella I did plant some castor beans too. Since a sweet person send me some seeds. They are really growing so easy. The picture I posted a short while ago was from a sword bean. Which let me tell you. Grows a LOT faster and is huger then the castor bean leaves in the beginning lol Eloise I betcha Kylie can give us a update on how many days till spring and all of us running around ripping our hair out because there is way to much to do to find a place for all our brug babies and making them happy lol But we are SO ready ..right gang? I stayed up late last night (for me) covering some bush beans, which have just started producing lots of beans. I also picked any ripe winter squash and all sizable summer squash. I cut my Chile Rayado pepper plants and moved them into our shed. I bet those five plants had over 20 lb of peppers on them. I couldn't help myself. In spite of the deluge of hot peppers, I had to retrace my steps, between the pepper patch and the shed, picking up, perhaps a hundred peppers which had fallen off the plants, while in transit. I didn't get to cover tomato plants. There just wasn't time and energy for that. Our Black Cherry plants are loaded with fruit. If they survive the next two days I suspect we'll harvest quite a few. However, at 5 AM its 32 F here in Tahlequah. Temps will drop a few more degrees before the sun gets up. George Tahlequah, OK

You gals must have more free time than I do lately. I'm trying to get some afghans finished for Christmas and I am working on them every spare minute.
Keep up the good work. I enjoy seeing all your little treasures!

There's that Humming bird myardor couldn't see in my Google Earth photo. Thanks Teri & Urlee, love both of yours also. Judy, I just decided to make some time, I told you all how rusty I've become with PSP. But with the holidays just around the corner I will also be busy. Next project is to make about 100 mini Hershey wrappers, to bring to Thanksgiving dinner.

I finally took a break and tried Debs tut. I had it almost done and my computer froze so I had to start over!
I hate when that happens.

Now it is time to get back to crocheting. I have 2 more to finish before Christmas!!
