Eastpenna, no not yet, as much as I have wanted to, work and other obligations have gotten in the way. Should be able to get it down tomorrow and will report results. FWIW that Bonide "Repels All" apparently only repels humans. The stuff is truly vile to smell, but it hasn't stopped the skunk or whatever it is (and I have some more reason to believe that it is actually a skunk, see below), and I even saw some tree rats on the lawn today, looking happy as ever. And the "Shake Away" granules have not worked yet either. Now the container says best results after two weeks, but I am not holding out any hope. I mean, the stuff smells like panther piss right out of the container, so why wouldn't it work immediately? Who knows. IMHO the only result of purchasing these two products is that I am 30 bucks lighter. Live and learn I guess. On why I think it is a skunk: I spoke to my next door neighbor tonight and asked him if he has noticed any skunks in the neighborhood recently. "Oh sure, I have a whole family of them living under my shed." (!!!!!!!!!!!!!) So it looks like even if I can catch one in a trap, this will be an ongoing process that will cost maybe a thousand bucks before I can get rid of all of them. And then there is nothing stopping some new skunk from settling in the vacated den. Aaarrgh! Morpheus, thank you! I will look into that Capsicum powder if the anti-varmint tea doesn't work, but since I have a toddler I don't think that will be a long term solution for me. I can keep him off the yard for the rest of this year, but not next. The whole point of my renovation was to give him a nice yard to play in. Maybe I will just have to beef up my fencing somehow.

JonGoldman  Judging by your photos, you have enough seedlings in and around the gaps in those step stones to fill in real well by next June. Just keep to your plan. I know its hard to believe at this point but by next June 15th, you will be blown away with your new lawn. Rutgers  In my limited experience with KBG (two years), it will spread the most in June and July. I use a lot of compost. Weak areas, bare spots, dog pee spots repaired by plugging all get extra compost. When I have plugged the center of a bare spot and really need it to fill in from all directions, I use generous amounts of compost and alfalfa pellets. My results are nothing short of spectacular. Last spring, around May 15, 10 inch dinner plate sized dead spots, plugged with 3 inch plugs taken from an inconspicuous area, filled in completely by July 15. This year, my lawn has really shown the benefits of two years mostly organic fertilizing. I firmly believe that coaxing the highest performance from your lawn lies in the soil. You have heard the mantra before. "Feed the soil" Bill Hill

Mango kush... I was reading some things on the internet about breadfruit, and with protection, they can grow to a pretty nice size in southern florida (as long as something like this past winter doesnt happen again for a long time). Some looked like they were almost fruiting size, but Ive never heard of one actually fruiting. If I lived in Southern Florida, breadfruits would definitely be on my list of tender plants to try. Good luck, hope it works out well! I found a really hot sunny spot to put mine that is also very humid, so it should grow really well (at least until it goes inside for the winter). I figure I have from may until about early (maybe mid) october for my breadfruit to go outside because temps rarely go in the 40s at night in that time period. Then while indoors Im going to mist it often and keep it by my sunniest window away from the heat Thanks for your comments and help, I cant wait until it comes in the mail!

Hey Mike... It seems that mine don't get bothered by cold up until a couple of weeks ago..The nights get very cold very early now and it does not warm up around here until after about 10 a.m..Mine are just exposed to cold, below the 50's far too long not to be affected ...Sometimes I wish I lived where you live..You are in an area where the sun is much stronger and your mornings warm up a lot faster than mines. It takes longer for your nights to cool off too. I can be in the thirties by 7 p.m here and very cold as soon as the sun sets...Then it can stay in the low thirties/ forties here this time of the year until noon almost..That gives me a very short window of warmth or anything above 55 degrees..Here , the 50's which kind of stinks will only last a couple of hours before it cools off again..It's ok if I get one day here or there, but consistent cold temps drains my trees of their vital energy/reserves to produce anything, and far too long to hydrate themselves.. I have a friend that lives down there on the forums and he has the very same fragrant plants down there that I have and they start getting damaged or affected some time in November like here for me.. By the way, hope you doing good these days..Good to see you) Laura, even if he has tender growth, his nights and mornings don't stay as cold as ours for as long to affect the growth like ours...Up until two weeks ago when it would warm up fast in the a.m and take longer to cool off once the sun set, my trees and new growth were still doing fine.
