Great costume, Brad - all you're missing are the puppies :) How much practice did those heels take.... I hope you enjoyed the party you must have worn it to, or is that tonight? We've always had fun Halloween, DH grew up on a country farm without much trick or treating going on so he has always gotten a big kick out of hoards of little costumed kids coming to the door. We moved last Thanksgiving so I have no idea how many to expect tonight, one neighbor tells me not many, it's a wooded street off 'the main drag'. But I'll have all the lights on, some decorations in the entryway, candy, will see how many feel welcome and stop.

I LOVE that picture! Sometimes, I wonder what happens if the villain wins in stories. Her purse is downright creepy! o_0. Brad AKA Moonwolf

Happy Day after Halloween!! So sorry I was MIA for the last couple of days. Unexpected family thingy's going on...and of course, HALLOWEEN!! My 2 dinosaurs sure kept me on my feet yesterday that's for sure :) I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! I may take a couple of days to recover. But, its so nice out today, I better get outside and take down all my decorations. We have graveyards, archways, ghosts, and skeletons...everywhere!!! It will take all day to pack it up...then on to turkeys and haybales for Thanksgiving :) Shirley, Is bear poop lucky?? I heard an old wivestale that if a bird poops on you its lucky...does the same go for bear? :) I can only imagine how much you had to wash off...ewwwww My mom loves books on tape, and gets them from our library too. My husband just started listening to them when he's in the truck, he really enjoys them. Our library has a used book sale a couple of times a year and they always have books on tape too. I got some for my mom for 50cents each. Jeanne, Congratulations on your new family member! Sydney is a very lucky pooch! :) Margo, I'm glad your little one is starting to feel better. :) Bunny, the garlic is from the garden. You can eat some and plant some if you'd like. It comes back every year, and if you cook with it, its way cheaper to grow your own. :) HAPPY HALLOWEENS ON THE WAY! And a Happy Halloween to you all, too! Tonight will be our 24th annual Halloween dinner party. We don't have it here but down in Albuquerque at our good friends' home, as they live on this long, old, beautiful street lined with huge trees where everyone really decorates their homes wonderfully for Halloween. We each bring a pot of homemade soup, two of them make fantastic homemade breads, we have appetizers, wines, a big salad, mulled cider and desserts. Back when our kids were small, the dads would take the group of them up and down the street trick-or-treating while we moms sat on the front porch. We'd chat and sip mulled cider while we handed out candy. Gosh, time does fly! Nowdays, they're all grown and living out of state except one who's a senior at UNM and my DD, who's 15 y/o. The rest are all in grad school, law school, teaching out of state or in the Army now. DD has decided to skip the party this year to go to her bestfriend's sleepover instead. Scary movies and pizza with a few of her girlfriends now sounds like more fun than hanging out with a bunch of parents, since she doesn't go out begging any more. So, I've got my pot of posole on the stove cooking now, The house smells so good! Posole is a shredded pork and hominy soup. It's usually served with red chile sauce that's dolloped on top, in the bowl. Most of us throw in a couple red chile pods right off our ristras, too, while it's cooking. I've got to go make my chile sauce and a cheese tray next. So, here's hoping that all your Halloween evenings are fun! Don't forget that Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is tomorrow. Don't look for any table or decs from me, though. That's one holiday I don't care for! Lynn
