Sigh - I envy my more southern and western sisters and brothers, at least where I live, Walmart, Home Depot, etc. don't have much out yet. But. For us space and price challenged, I was delighted to find a Suncast resin storage box 22" x 22" - snaps together in minutes - at Walmart for ~30$. I own the Suncast vertical shed - these ARE resin, but, they are holding up great and keep the water out! Good stuff for the price! Also there is some organic gardening soil with 3 months of natural fertilizer for $5 a bag - this is some of the best soil I have ever seen, already has perlite - I never pot straight from the bag without amendments but I was able to with this stuff. And one cheap Queen Elizabeth bagged rose, for a problem spot that needs a nice tall bush. I'll be heading back to get some more soil, and any interesting roses.......

Though a repeat from another site, this is what I did with a few: An old wooden framed window, a few sheets of glass, clear caulk and a glass cutter are the basic tools you will need. Simply remove the clear glass panes (if present) from the window. These will provide great templates for your colored glass. If there are no existing clear glass panels, a cardboard template will work wonders. If you purchased a multi-pane window, never assume all of the panes are the same size. Simply cut the stained glass to fit into the sections of the window. You would be amazed at how easy it is to cut glass, though I do suggest using a pistol grip cutter and not the typical cutter one can find at any hardware store. You can find easily find someone who has cut glass and will be happy to show you. My husband is actually the one who showed me, and on the second try I had it down pat. Simply cut the panels to fit the windows, use clear caulk to seal them in, and wa-la! Inexpensive first try at working with stained glass. Very simple, basic, easy to do and colorful! You can use all the same colored glass if you wish, or mix them up. I used various colors in one of my first projects, an assortment of various clear colors I had in the glass supply box. I have numerous thin strips of stained glass which I have in mind for another window created with these strips. In stripes. I'll simply cut small pieces of wood to go between the strips of glass. Though I have a few panes left to fill in (waiting for the right colors to show up at the craft store) this gives a basic idea of what I'm talking about. We live in the country, so this particular window set did not get the full treatment of sanding the windows, painting them, etc. I was going for the "Trash to treasure" feel. So, let me get this straight? He cheated on you with BM (yuck - at least it could have been with someone better!!) and yet he has never felt that he should be considerate of your feelings when telling you that "you should be the bigger person," etc.? He has always "taken her side" and you have always felt that he valued her feelings over yours. Before I knew about the cheating, I thought the entire situation was stinky but now that I know - how could he seriously say the things he has said when looking into your eyes and knowing that he betrayed you with her and was continuing to betray you?? I am furious on your behalf!!!

I may be the lone dissenter as far as mosaic. I think you need just a plain backsplash. If you go with a mosaic, it would detract from your counters. If anything, maybe a line of mosaic within your "plain" backsplash. I think you need to find a color within that pulls from the granite while tying into your wall color. Maybe that will make it all flow. You aren't going to find one that looks perfect with all parts with all the color variances.
