Hi everyone

I'm going to try to start checking in every day and possibly try to make something "anything" We seem to be deteoriating here..Me included...I would hate for this forum to go under. I would miss all of you...I'm probably the worst one for not getting in here more often, but am going to try to change that.

Anyway, just wanted to stop by to say hi...

I usually check in here every day, although I do not post that much. you people have such great ideas -I do not want to see this forum go away either as it is one of my favorites - where else would I ask all of my dumb PSP questions? - and also admire everybody's great work - you people inspire me!!

Oops, there goes another rubber...oops there goes...another rubber tree plant! In addition to the identification, let's try to get you some help, which has been short in supply from the above posters--no real fault of theirs, it's an ID thread. Yeah, it looks like a bit more light might be helpful. Not too much, rubber trees are really capable of tolerating low light, and you don't want to suddenly shock it, but bring it up to some brighter light, then brighter again. It should improve. They do like bright light, but not direct sun. My mother kept one alive in deep shade and barely indirect light, but...well, that plant wasn't what I'd call happy. Most of them are a bit more hoggy for soil space than a cup, so that cup won't do for long, and I don't think that has a bottom drain in it either? You'll want a nice, light well-draining mix of soil with a drain at the bottom. They hate sitting in water, so a drainless cup is a bad idea. Just gorgeous, Ed. I have one ina protected spot, but I sometimes think I ahould be arrested for plant torture. It is just too cold here and it rarely blooms. So I will just have to enjoy yours remotely.

I never really had a green thumb and had given up on plants. Two years ago I got one houseplant for each of our 11 grandloves. I didn't put much effort into learning about them at that time, but paid attention enough to keep a few of them alive. One in particular, my purple passion (her name is Pamela) caught my eye because she made her way into two other pots and was so beautiful (she's all back together in one glorious pot). I then did some research on the plants I had and took care of them accordingly. They began to thrive! I then found that I have a love for rescuing doomed plants. I have a peace lily who was a complete goner and now she just threw her second leaf. I would say my favorite plant is Simon, my heartleaf philodendron. Parts of him now live with my son and daughter in law. I love trailing/vining plants, but every one I have is special! I have a decent assortment, but I'd really love more! We're on social security, so I have started several of my babies from cuttings, successfully. My dream plant is a monstera. Thanks for setting me straight as to how to post here. This is my very first experience. I hope I didn't offend anyone!

Hi everyone! I should would hate to see this forum go away! I have gotten so much help here and this is actually where I learned about PSP. Have been so busy playing with Paint shop that I haven't been here much. Will see what I can do to help keep things alive here. Any suggestions?

Deb, Wow! You threw me off the board with that one! Terrific.

I too peek in first thing when I log on to the internet and sad to see where this forum is sinking. Maybe this winter we can bring it back up on the charts again?
Even if we post something we have done way in the past for newbies to see.
I like to look back at the oldies we were so proud of after struggling to get it right.

Bev, this is such a great idea. Elly like your sig. Deb that is really awesome! I will try really hard to join in, right now I am in the middle of making Halloween Bingo cards for the residents at the Nursing Home I work at. The activities dir. only wants pictures instead of numbers. So I'm afraid I will be tied up with this project for a couple of days. Keep up the great work ladies.
