Well....the first looks like a "brush stroke on canvas" sort of repro. It bears what looks like the signature of Marie Sandholt...but it looks nothing at all like her work. The second, I can't tell you anything about because I can't really see texture, but what I see looks like a print. The 3rd defintely looks to me to be an oil, and the signature is that of a recognized American artist. If it's authentic, it could be worth a pretty penny. But again is not at all typical of her work> Where are you looking at these "paintings"...they appear to me to be perhaps the work of a "starving artist" who signs his pictures like some others do. All 3 are rather trite examples of "art"...buy them if you like them well enough for the price to hang on your wall, but don't look to make money on them.

Is it oil or acrylic? Are you sure? Is it on canvas or board? Is it a museum wrap? How big is it, how big is that tag? What does the back look like? Wehre did you get it? And why do you think the artist might have signed it?

I need to sell paintings! I am a "starving artist" also..ha ha ha..thanks lindac92..i can use the good humor!

One way to make a particular piece of art stand out is size. In the mockup below, the painting is the largest of the group. Another way is frames. All have black frames except for the painting. Another is color. the painting is multicolored. All the other items in the grouping all have muted colors. So they essentially look like framed black or white piece of paper. I don't think any of the pieces that you have posted would work because the only possibility is the black and white flower but the black is so bold against the white paper, it stands out too much. Also, I see no problem mixing different media in a gallery wall including poster, prints, photos, original art, etc. Here is an example of three black and white photos along with an original painting.
